But are they? One of the gifts of the Feast of the Epiphany is the realization that Jesus came for ALL people. When we see representations of the Magi coming to worship the new King, we notice that they are of mixed races. We are aware that they are not Jews, but they seem to know that the star they noticed "at its rising" is a sign that the promised one has been born. At this moment in time, seem to be having difficulty seeing that we are all images of the one God, brothers and sisters regardless of race, nationality or religion. We have some choices to make in this New Year. We can follow the example of Jesus who welcomes all, or we can follow the example of Herod who wishes to destroy. The road to peace is a bumpy one and requires effort. It is a road of acceptance, compassion, forgiveness and taking responsibility for our actions. We can choose to fuel the fires of division and hatred, or we can choose love. As we count down the last few days of this Christmas season, let us decide how we want the world to look. What is the legacy of all our prayers during Advent and Christmas? Let us open our arms to receive one another in peace and love so that all may feel welcome in our churches, our neighborhoods and our community.🙏🏿🔥🔥🌕

_Friday, 15th October, 2021_

_*CHOOSE YOUR ACTIONS*_

_I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me._ _*Psalm 119:30*_

_The choices we make in life are ours to make. Each one of us has the burden of intentionally doing things that will enable us to live for the Lord and fulfil our high calling. Whether we serve God from the pulpit or the pew, the Lord requires that we follow His path. Along the way, we will be offered many options. Some of the options may seem appealing but end up drawing us away from God’s tried and tested way._

_*Here are some guidelines to help us properly ground our decisions.*_

_*1. Choose based on godliness.* This is where we should start from. Our choices must rest on godly values. God chooses based on His eternal purposes. He also looks at the heart; He looks deeper. Beauty is vain. Stature is deceptive. Whether we’re choosing a marriage partner or business opportunity, we must go beyond the surface attraction. We must go beyond self-interest._

_*2. Choose to work towards your desires.* Work is not a curse. We must be wary of anything that promises us great reward without effort. Apart from salvation which God freely gave us because of what Christ paid on the cross, all other pursuits in life require work. God gave Israel a promised land but they had to fight to possess it; the Lord gave them a land flowing with milk and honey but they had to cultivate the land and reap its fruits._

_*3. Choose to go the full distance of your journey.* When you choose the narrow gate, you will travel a difficult path. You will have struggles. You will have setbacks. You will have disappointments. You will see others on the broad way who take the easy way out. That realisation will make you also want to take the easy way out. However, if you choose to enter through the narrow gate, you must stay on track to the end of your journey._

_*4. Choose to magnify God through your story.* The end of the road for those who choose the narrow gate is good. If you stay faithful to the end, your life will be a testimony to the name of the Lord. Choose to honour God with your life._

_*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, You reward those who diligently seek You. Magnify Yourself in my life. In Jesus’ name, *Amen!*_

_*Scripture Reading:* Psalm 119:25-32_

_Good morning Precious One. May the Holy Spirit direct your path to walk in integrity and truth, help you to make choices and decisions based on godly values. May His spirit help you to examine your conscience and heart to make wise choices and may He strengthen you to overcome peer pressure and the prevailing spirit of your age. May He magnify His name in all situation of your life as you choose the pathways that leads to righteousness. May He help us to choose His ways; the way of truth, the way of life, and set our hearts on doing His will. *Amen!* Have a blissful and a fruitful day in the Lord🙏_
