Sistering Global was privileged to be at the recently held National Youth Conference 2025 organized by the National Youth Authority at Pentecost Convention Center. Representing the organization at the event were Racheal Akplah and Dora Adu, kind courtesy Plan International Ghana under the She Leads Ghana Project.

Conference Theme: Igniting Potential; Inspiring Change
Some topics discussed included;
- Youth Participation in Decision Making, Real Power
- Girls and Young Women's Participation in Political Leadership (She Leads Breakout Session)

The youth was urged to not take Ghana's peace for granted and must note that Ghana's stability and development depend on our ability to uphold unity and tolerance. Again, we the youth were charged to inspire the change we want to see as we are the architects to a new Ghana.

Charge to every young woman out there:

Volunteering helps you learn, grow and develop the confidence and skills to lead. In a world where retaliation often feels justified, the words of Luke 6:28 stand as a powerful reminder of a higher calling: “Bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” 💫

This profound scripture teaches us to respond to hate with love, curses with blessings, and mistreatment with prayer. It’s not always easy, but it reflects the strength, grace, and compassion that Christ modeled for us.

When we choose kindness over bitterness, we break the cycle of pain and become vessels of peace and healing in a broken world. 🌍💛

Let’s make it our mission this week to be intentional about how we respond to negativity.

What truly matters is not what we consume, but what flows from within us. 💬✨

Mark 7:20 reminds us that it’s not what enters the body that defiles a person, but what comes out of the heart—our words, our thoughts, our actions.

This profound truth calls us to examine the condition of our hearts daily. Are we harboring bitterness, envy, pride, or malice? Or are we cultivating love, kindness, humility, and forgiveness?

In a world that often focuses on appearances and external actions, Jesus draws our attention inward. He teaches us to purify our hearts, to be intentional about what we allow to take root in our spirits, and to let God’s love shape our character. 🌿🕊️

As we begin this week, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’re putting out into the world. Are our words life-giving? Do our actions reflect God’s grace?
