BEING ANOINTED WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS

Hebrews 1:9
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions."

EXPOSITION
Dearly beloved in Christ, I humbly entreat you to love righteousness and follow the path of righteousness. On the other hand, let each and everyone of us in the Lord, God as members of the Body of Christ hate lawlessness. Let us be law abiding citizens of God's kingdom here on earth as it will qualify us to to be anointed with the oil of gladness more than our companions.

The Kingdom of God has principles it works with. Lets seek the principles of the Kingdom and apply in our lives to enjoy the benefits it comes with.

NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS IN LIFE

BIBLE REFERENCE: Numbers 32:1-6

INDISPUTABLE TRUTH
Those who settle for less in life end up losing the greatness the Lord has in stock for them.

EXPOSITION
The children of Reuben and Gad wanted to settle for the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead instead of the promised land of Canaan. Their reason was that Jazer and Gilead will support the lives of their very great multitude of livestock. And this aroused the anger of the Lord against them for despising His wonderful choice and plan for them.

APPLICATION
We, as individual members of the body of Christ must always follow the plan of God for our lives. Let us not make God feel as though we can make better choices for ourselves than He could for us. Our choice in life can never be better as compared to God's choice for us. Whatever we have now is not our final bus stop in life. There is more greatness ahead for us.

2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Exposition

He (Paul) exhorts him (Timothy) to stir up the gift of God that was in him. Stir it up as fire under the embers. It is required of us, being the body of Christ to use the gifts and graces God has given us, judiciously. These gifts qualify us for the work of God. We must stir them up, we must exercise them and in order to increase them. We must take all opportunities to use these gifts to the glory of the name of the Lord, God.

Prayer
Oh Lord, help me to stir up the gifts in me, to exercise them and in order that they may increase in me. Help me to seize all opportunities to use these gifts to the glory of your Holy Name.
