Chapter 3 Continuation
This is the first scripture that foretells the immaculate conception of Christ Jesus. That He will not be born in the normal or usual way .His conception will not need mating and fertilization. He will be the one born out of the incorruptible , as we can see in Luke 1:34-35
[34]Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
[35]And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
The scripture in Genesis 3:15 again says that there will be enmity between the seed of the woman and the serpent . As student of scripture we know the serpent is the devil or Satan . The scripture didn't talk about love or unity but enmity between the seed of the woman which is Christ Jesus and the Devil . Christ as the seed of the woman is a terror to the kingdom of darkness that's why the bible says in 1 John 3:8
[8]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
He came not to dine , mingle , hook, link and Badoo with the devil but rather to destroy his works in our lives and the world as large . Christ Jesus is the seed of the woman who bruised the head of the serpent on the cross and said it is finished . That's why the bible says in Colossians 2:13-15
[13]And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
[14]Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
[15]And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
