Greetings, recipients of the Holy Spirit; the greatest gift anyone can ever receive on earth.

John 16 - Joy, Peace and Stability from the Knowledge of the Truth.

Jesus Christ wants His disciples to experience abiding joy, peace and stability (v. 1, 22, 33). By His design, these desirable experiences would be produced by the knowledge of the Truth concerning:

1. PERSECUTION
• Those who do not know God wouldn’t know the truth about Jesus Christ, and will therefore oppose and oppress disciples who proclaim His lordship (v. 2-3, 32).
• The world’s sinful system will act as an adversary against the Christian faith (v. 33a).
• The pain of persecution is only transient while the joy thereafter is permanent (v. 20).

2. THE HOLY SPIRIT
• As the Representative of Christ in leading His disciples into all truth and empowering them unto godly living (v. 12-14).
• The provider of a vital link between the disciple of Christ and God to guarantee positive answers to prayer (v. 22-24).

3. THE VICTORY OF JESUS CHRIST
• Jesus Christ is Lord (the Landlord) of the entire universe (v. 33b, Matthew 28:18).
• The leader of all opposing forces, the devil, has already been condemned (v. 11).

Greetings, children of God.

John 2 - Authority of Jesus, the Messiah.

This chapter reports on how Jesus used both social and religious gatherings as opportunities to demonstrate His authority in relation to:

1. Created things such as water and wine (v. 7-9).

2. The use of God’s House (v. 15-16).

3. Physical death (v. 19-21).

4. People (v. 5, 7-8, 11).

Remember that He has chosen you as His representative, and called you to operate with that authority (Matt. 28:18-20).

Greetings, God’s treasured possession.

Numbers 30 - Instructions about vows and pledges to God.

When God makes any promises to His people, they are as reliable as reality because He is Truth.
What about man’s vows/pledges to God?
In order to guide the Israelites, God taught them the A, B, C’s of vows and pledges.

1. Acceptable vow/pledge
A vow is acceptable to God when it is voluntary. God does not like anyone to feel that a vow or pledge is imposed on him (v. 5, 8, 12).

2. Binding vow or pledge
God treats every voluntary, promissory utterance by a person of accountability-age as a binding contract (v. 2-3, 6-7, 9).

3. Consequences of a vow or pledge.
• Honoring a vow/pledge to God is a sign of respect to Him (v. 2).
• Failure to fulfill a vow or pledge to God is a sin (Eccles. 5:5-6).
- It can invite God’s anger
- It can bring failure to your business.

“It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.” (Eccles. 5:5)

“Heavenly Father, we plead for forgiveness of our sins in connection with unfulfilled vows made to you. Please strengthen us against repeating any such acts of dishonour toward you. Amen!”

Greetings, redeemed saints.

Numbers 29 - Atoning sacrifices are vital to the survival of Israel.

1. Recap. of sacrifices demanded earlier.
• On-going daily, weekly, monthly and during two annual sacrifices (Passover and Festival of Weeks).

2. Additional requirements for 7th month.
• Festival of Trumpets
• Day of Atonement
• Festival of Tabernacles
These three festivals necessitated 10 holidays, 73 bulls, 17 rams, 119 lambs and 10 male goats.

3. Adding these attention-focusing sacrifices to the regular on-going ones should succeed in reminding Israel about the deadly nature of sin, and the vital role of atoning sacrifices concerning their survival.

QUESTION
How can we make the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and its indispensable role in the salvation of sinners an unforgettable issue for the people of our day?

Greetings, members of the Blessed Family of God.
Phil 4. - Helpful Exhortation

While standing on the firm foundation of knowing Jesus Christ progressively, learn to live AS (not LIKE) a Christian by:

1. Recognizing and promoting oneness with members of His Body (v. 2-3).

2. Relieving yourself of needless pain by leaving every burden to God through prayer (v. 6-7).

3. Resting your mind on only pure and admirable thoughts (v. 😎.

4. Relying on God’s strength to handle every situation contentedly as His representative (v. 11-13).

5. Raising your credit-score in your heavenly account at “Bank of Christ” through generous giving on earth (v. 17, 19).

😇Praise the Lord.
I've prayed and read Philippians 4. The verse 8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."
One area the Devil loves to attack is the MIND, and it's dangerous to let the mind out of control. As Christians we have the mind of Christ and Paul has indicated what it should think about. Control your mind in Christ 🙏🏽...Rev. Dennis Dzobo
