Beloved, today I want to share with you this message I have entitled:
𝐙𝐈𝐁𝐀'𝐬 𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒!(Ways Of A Liar)
You know, When Absalom King David’s son rose up against him. He(king David) decided to escape from Jerusalem to go and find some place to hide. Now it came to pass as King David was fleeing and was a little past the top of the mountain, there was Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth, who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, one hundred clusters of raisins, one hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine. And the king said to Ziba, “What do you mean to do with these?” So Ziba said, “The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who are faint in the wilderness to drink.” Then the king said, “And where is your master’s son?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, ‘Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.’ ” So the king said to Ziba, “Here, all that belongs to Mephibosheth is yours.” And Ziba said, “I humbly bow before you, that I may find favor in your sight, my Lord, O king!”“ 16:1-4
Beloved, Note that before this incident King David had already restored all that belonged to King Saul to Mephibosheth and has commanded Ziba to be his servant as he was to the grandfather King Saul. But Ziba not wanting that and had no power to oppose it, the plan he had was to bring gifts to the king and also lie against mephibosheth to gain the King’s favor in a time where he vividly knew the King was in trouble by making it seems he love the King despite the trouble his son Absalom was making him go through, while Mephibosheth was happy about it and wants the King’s downfall despite all that the king has done for him. Meanwhile it wasn’t like that. Remember, Ziba lied against Mephibosheth so that King Saul’s properties he was previously enjoying will be restored back to him. And he achieved exactly that!
Beloved, I want you to know or understand that, people can use so many ways to get favors which are not godly, So be vigilant as a leader or a person holding power so that someone will not manipulate your intelligence by lying against others to make you favor them.
