«“And glorify Allah for having guided you, so that you may be grateful.”»

It is a day:

- to thank Allah,
- to remember Him,
- and to rejoice within the limits of Islam.

Takabbalallāhu minnā wa minkum 🤲

🌙 Day of ‘Arafah Reminder

Today is the Day of ‘Arafah — a day of mercy, forgiveness, du‘ā, and freedom from the Fire.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah.”

📚 Sahih Muslim 1348

And he ﷺ said:

“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ‘Arafah.”

📚 Jami‘ al-Tirmidhi 3585
📚 Graded Hasan by al-Albani

🌿 What should you do today?

• Fast if you are not performing Hajj
• Increase in du‘ā
• Make sincere tawbah
• Say abundant dhikr and takbīr
• Recite Qur’an
• Send salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ
• Ask Allah for Jannah and protection from Hellfire

🌿 Say often:

Lā ilāha illa Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-ḥamd wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.

Do not waste this day in heedlessness.
A single sincere Day of ‘Arafah can change a person forever.

❓ Q: What adhkār should be said frequently on the Day of ‘Arafah?

✅ A:
The Day of ‘Arafah is a day of abundant dhikr, takbīr, and du‘ā.

One of the greatest adhkār to repeat is:

🌿 Transliteration:

Lā ilāha illa Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-ḥamd wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.

🌿 Meaning:

“There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He is over all things capable.”

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ‘Arafah, and the best that I and the Prophets before me have said is:
‘Lā ilāha illa Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-ḥamd wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.’”

📚 Jami‘ al-Tirmidhi 3585

🌙 Also increase in:
• Allāhu Akbar
• Alḥamdu lillāh
• SubḥānAllāh
• Astaghfirullāh

❓ Q: Can the meat of the Uḍḥiyah be given to non-Muslims?

✅ A:
Yes — many scholars allowed giving some of the meat to non-Muslims, especially:
• neighbours,
• relatives,
• or the poor.

Allah says:

“So eat from them and feed the needy and poor.”
📖 Surah Al-Hajj 22:28

This can also soften hearts and display the good character of Islam.

However, Muslims in need should be prioritized when there is limited meat.

❓ Q: Is fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah really powerful?

✅ A:
Yes — for those not performing Hajj.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”

📚 Sahih Muslim 1162

This is one of the greatest voluntary fasts of the year.

⚠️ Note:
This applies to non-pilgrims. The Prophet ﷺ did not fast on ‘Arafah during Hajj.

A single day. Two years forgiven by Allah’s mercy.
