James 4:14 says:

"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."

1. ๐”๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž: James emphasizes the uncertainty of life, reminding us that we don't know what will happen tomorrow. This uncertainty should humble us and make us dependent on God.

2. ๐…๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž: The verse uses the metaphor of a mist to describe the fleeting nature of human life. Just like a mist appears and then vanishes, our lives are short and temporary.

๐Ÿ. ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ'๐ฌ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ: Jesus, being God, chose to humble Himself by taking on human form. He emptied Himself of His divine privileges to become a servant.

๐Ÿ. ๐Ž๐›๐ž๐๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก: Jesus' humility led Him to obey God's will, even to the point of death on the cross. This obedience was not just a one-time act, but a continuous choice to submit to God's plan.

In the context of Philippians 2, these verses are part of a hymn that celebrates Christ's humility and exaltation. They remind us that Jesus' journey from heaven to the cross was a deliberate choice, motivated by His love for mankind. I want to end by saying if God being God laid down his divine and mighty nature as God and became a servant to you and I in other to die and save us. Then you should be motivated to let go of your pride, arrogance, ego, and submit to God, to one another, to your spouses and to the church.

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,โ€ declares the Lord, โ€œplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

1. ๐†๐จ๐'๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐: The verse emphasizes that God's plans for His people are good, and not evil. He desires to prosper them, not harm them.

2. ๐‡๐จ๐ฉ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž: God's plans are designed to give His people hope and a future. This means that even in the midst of challenges and uncertainty, believers can trust that God is working everything out for their good.

This verse was written to the Israelites who were in exile in Babylon. God was reassuring them that despite their current circumstances, He had good plans for them and would restore them to their homeland.

Today, this verse continues to encourage God's children to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even in the midst of uncertainty, chaos and challenges in life, marriage, business, academic, family, society, friendship and many more aspects of life.

2. ๐†๐จ๐'๐ฌ ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐: As God's children, believers have a new identity, a new family, and a new inheritance. This status brings with it all the privileges, responsibilities, and blessings of being part of God's family.
