Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done. Amen
The man of God said Alms giving is a simple and meaningful act of giving to others. Usually to the temporary suffering of the giver for the betterment of another. In participating in giving alms, we surrender our own comfort to extend that comfort to another who needs it. As Christians, we are called to follow in the example of CHRIST who showed great compassion to those on the outer edge of society. Alms giving is an act of love that incorporates both prayer and fasting ( Matt 6:1-18) and manifests itself by caring for our neighbor in need. The man of God further explained, As we help our brothers and sisters who live in poverty, we become more connected to God and to one another, by treating our neighbor as another self we are removing any human barriers that might separate us from GOD. He said Our giving is an act of worshipful trust. When we give, we are saying that we trust that the LORD will provide and care for us. The man of GOD ended by saying a giving warrior is more powerful than a prayer warrior
I will advice you by saying you should engage in alms giving by spreading the true love of CHRIST to the needy around you. As JESUS held nothing back he did not just talk a good game or speak of the importance of giving, but he embodied everything he spoke and with his every flesh and blood he gave.
