On Monday, August 17th, on behalf of the Chairman of the GHANA Evangelism Committee, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the National Director alongside Apostle Immanuel Tetteh the General Secretary of Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council and Apostle John Nipah, The National Treasure of GEC paid a commiseration visit to the widow and family of the late Rev. Samuel Buenor Lawetey, who served faithfully as the Secretary of the Ghana Evangelism Committee.
โ€‹Rev. Lawetey was an extraordinarily hardworking, dedicated, and selfless man of God. His passionate labor in the Lordโ€™s vineyard, unwavering commitment to the body of Christ, and tireless service to the Committee leave a profound legacy that will be fondly remembered. We pray that the Almighty God comforts, strengthens, and sustains his beloved wife, children, and the entire family during this difficult time of grief. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

On Saturday, the National Director had the privilege of attending the 26th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Representing the Chairman of GEC, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, he shared a fraternal reflection with the General Assembly, honoring the immense contributions of the Presbyterian Church to the broader Body of Christ and the nation as a whole.

It is with deep sorrow ๐Ÿ’” that we announce the homegoing of Rev. Samuel Buenor Lawerteh, Secretary of the Ghana Evangelism Committee, Steering Committee.

He served the Lord and the Church faithfully to the very end.

Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.

We ask that we all uphold the family in prayer during this difficult time.

On the 26th of May, GEC had the distinct privilege of holding a consultative meeting with church leaders, pastors, and heads of churches in Sunyani. The primary purpose of this gathering was to apprise them of the ongoing 3rd National Church Survey by the Committee.

Among the esteemed attendees were the Chairman of the Christian Council of Bono Region, Bishop Festus Yeboah Asuamah, who also serves as the Bishop of the Anglican Dioceses in Sunyani. Also present was the Regional Chairman of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Pastor Christopher Agbenyefia of Deeper Life Ministry.

The meeting was further honored by the presence of the immediate past National Director of Ghana Evangelism Committee, Apostle Abraham Swanzy, who is now an Executive Council Member of THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST and the Area Head for the Sunyani Area.
We thank God for our fathers in the faith and pray that He continues to bless and strengthen them as they support the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
