On the 26th of May, GEC had the distinct privilege of holding a consultative meeting with church leaders, pastors, and heads of churches in Sunyani. The primary purpose of this gathering was to apprise them of the ongoing 3rd National Church Survey by the Committee.

Among the esteemed attendees were the Chairman of the Christian Council of Bono Region, Bishop Festus Yeboah Asuamah, who also serves as the Bishop of the Anglican Dioceses in Sunyani. Also present was the Regional Chairman of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Pastor Christopher Agbenyefia of Deeper Life Ministry.

The meeting was further honored by the presence of the immediate past National Director of Ghana Evangelism Committee, Apostle Abraham Swanzy, who is now an Executive Council Member of THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST and the Area Head for the Sunyani Area.
We thank God for our fathers in the faith and pray that He continues to bless and strengthen them as they support the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

The Ghana Evangelism committee Committee convened its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 28th April 2026, under the esteemed chairmanship of Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

The gathering brought together key leaders, including heads of churches, their Mission and Evangelism Directors, leaders of various mission agencies, and representatives from Para-church organizations.

During the meeting, we accounted for our their stewardship for the year 2025, reflecting on the successes and challenges faced in advancing the evangelistic mission across the country. An important update was provided on the progress of the ongoing 3rd National Church Survey, which is currently being conducted nationwide to gather vital data on church growth, outreach activities, and spiritual needs within Ghana.

One of the most significant resolutions of the AGM was the collective decision to rekindle and revive the Spirit of Evangelism throughout the land. Recognizing the importance of renewed passion and strategic effort in evangelism, the assembly unanimously agreed to organize a National Evangelism Retreat from 3rd to 4th September 2026 (Details program shall be communicated). This retreat will serve as a spiritual and strategic gathering aimed at fostering fervent prayer, deepening commitment, and devising innovative strategies for the total evangelization of Ghana.

The retreat is expected to include intensive prayer sessions, training workshops, and collaborative planning to equip churches and organizations with effective evangelistic tools and methodologies. The overarching goal is to see a transformed Ghana, where every community has the opportunity to hear and experience the Gospel.

The committee expressed profound gratitude to all the leaders and representatives presentโ€”those who dedicated their time, resources, and prayers towards the evangelistic mission. Their unwavering commitment underscores the collective responsibility to fulfil the Great Commission in Ghana.

In closing, the AGM reaffirmed the committeeโ€™s dedication to fostering unity among evangelical bodies and emphasized the importance of continuous prayer, strategic planning, and active engagement in evangelism efforts to bring about spiritual awakening across the nation.

LAUNCHED OF GEC 3RD NATIONAL CHURCH SURVEY

๐Ÿš€ On Tuesday, 31st March 2026, the 3rd National Church Survey, 2026 roared to life at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Feteh. This landmark event united faith and data in an unforgettable launch!

The Survey was successfully launched by the Vice Chairman, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, on behalf of the Chairman, Aps. Dr. Eric Nyamekye of the Ghana Evangelism Committee (GEC).

Speeches that moved the crowd:
- The Vice Chairman of GEC/Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana offered profound spiritual guidance for the surveyโ€™s mission. He steered the launch with passionate leadership. ๐Ÿ‘
- GEC National Director fired up the audience with a visionary evangelism message.
- GSS Director unveiled dataโ€‘driven insights that blend statistics with spiritual growth.
The Ghana Evangelism Committee, partnering with the Ghana Statistical Service, launched this survey to dig deep into national church dynamics, shaping future faithโ€‘based strategies and community development.

Ghana Statistical Service are providing technical assistance, training for field data collectors, and monitoring support.

The field data collectors will undergo training until April 11, 2026, after which they will be dispatched across the nation from April 14 to June 13 for nationwide data collection.
