Romans 5:1-5
*[1]Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
*[2]He has brought us by faith into this experience of God's grace, in which we now live. And so we boast of the hope we have of sharing God's glory!
*[3]We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance.

*[4]endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope.

*[5]This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.

FEAR OF NOT PLEASING GOD

If you are really in love with Jesus, your love for Him will keep you pressing toward perfection everyday. But I can almost guarantee you will also fall short in some way everyday. If you really are a sincere Christian, there is no way you can take a lighthearted, "Oh well, I dont care" attitude toward your shortcomings. Your love for Jesus will compel you to want to do better everyday. You will get up the next day and try to do better again; maybe you will do better in some area, but you may fail in something else.The message God is trying to communicate to you through these situations is: "You still need Me." Jesus says in matthew 5:48, "You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect. " When we think of being "perfect," we can feel intimidated, but we need to understand this word"s meaning in its original New Testament language. The Amplified Bible makes this clear. (Perfect) means simply "growing into maturity. " We need to rejoice and be happy when we are growing into maturity and stop criticising ourselves when we are not perfect by humans standards.
I want to encourage you to enjoy your journey. After all, life isn't as much about
reaching our destination as it is about how we make the trip. People who struggle and are miserable all their lives but finally reach their destination dont accomplish nearly as much as those who may not arrive at their destinations, but enjoy the process. You may have heard me say: "I'm not where I need to be, but thank God, I'm not where I used to be. I have not arrived, but I am on my way!" That kind of attitude infuriates the devil._ _Let me encourage you to not set a standard of worldly perfection for yourself, Instead, start getting existed about every step of progress you take. When you are not exactly where you want to be, remind yourself that neither are you where you used to be! Instead of focusing on your faults, focus on your progress.

FEAR OF NOT PLEASING GOD

_If you want to go higher in God, you must also address the fear that your imperfections will keep you from pleasing God. This is a significant struggle for many people; they suffer terribly with secrets worries that they are not pleasing God, they are not doing enough or they are just not doing things correctly. They are afraid God is displeased with them because they don't read the Bible enough, they dont pray properly or they dont have enough faith.They live in bo***ge to the fear that nothing they do is ever enough for God._ *_This is a lie !_* *_The devil want us to believe "enough is never enough."_* _He want's us to feel no matter what we do, God will always want something, more or something different._ _This is very sad, because the truth is that God isn't nearly as hard to please as we think He is! Yes, He has high standards and desires excellence in every area, but the truth is that nothing about us surprises Him. He knew what He was getting when He called us into relationship with Himself. When we make mistakes, He doesn't sit in Heaven wringing His hands saying, "I am shocked by your behaviour. I expected that!"_ *_(Psalms 139:1-4,6-7)_*

*_[2]You know everything I do; from far away you understand all my thoughts._*
*_[3]You see me, whether I am working or resting; you know all my actions._*
*_[4]Even before I speak, you already know what I will say._*
*_[6]Your knowledge of me is too deep; it is beyond my understanding._*
*_[7]Where could I go to escape from you? Where could I get away from your presence?_* _tells us plainly that He knows what we are going to do before we even do it, so try to keep in mind that God knows all about you and loves you anyway!_
_Read this next statement closely:_ *_If you could be perfect, you would not need Jesus._* _Your willingness to keep pressing toward the mark of perfection is all God requires._

Therefore, we need to recognize that the immediate source of many of our problems and oppressions is not demonic but fleshly in nature. We must contend with the fact that one aspect of our lives, our flesh nature, will always be targeted by the devil. These fleshly areas supply Satan with a ready avenue of access to undermine our prayers and neutralize our walk with God.

Before John Wayne passed away! Most of you know John Wayne as an actor. You may not know what happened to him before he died. This is that story!
Robert Schuller’s teenage daughter, Cindy, was in a motorcycle accident and had to have her leg amputated. John Wayne is a big fan of Robert Schuller. He heard Dr. Schuller say on one of his programs that his daughter had been in an accident and had to have her leg amputated.
John Wayne wrote a note to her saying: Dear Cindy, sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you will be all right. Signed, John Wayne. The note was delivered to her and she decided she wanted to write John Wayne a note in reply.
She wrote: Dear Mr. Wayne, I got your note. Thanks for writing to me. I like you very much. I am going to be all right because Jesus is going to help me. Mr. Wayne, do you know Jesus? I sure hope you know Jesus, Mr. Wayne, because I cannot imagine heaven being complete without John Wayne being there. I hope, if you don’t know Jesus, that you will give your heart to Jesus right now. See you in heaven. And she signed her name.
She had just put that letter in an envelope, sealed it, and written across the front of it “John Wayne” when a visitor came into her room to see her. He said to her: What are you doing? She said: I just wrote a letter to John Wayne, but I don’t know how to get it to him. He said: That’s funny, I am going to have dinner with John Wayne tonight at the Newport Club down at Newport Beach. Give it to me and I will give it to him. She gave him the letter and he put it in his coat pocket. There were twelve of them that night sitting around the table for dinner. They were laughing and cutting up and the guy happened to reach in his pocket and felt that letter and
remembered.
John Wayne was seated at the end of the table and the guy took the letter out and said: Hey, Duke, I was in Schuller’s daughter’s room today and she wrote you a letter and wanted me to give it to you. Here it is.
They passed it down to John Wayne and he opened it. They kept on laughing and cutting up and someone happened to look down at John Wayne. He was crying. One of them said: Hey, Duke, what is the matter? He said (and can’t you hear him saying it?): I want to read you this letter. He read the letter.
Then he began to weep. He folded it, put it in his pocket, and he pointed to the man who delivered it to him and said: You go tell that little girl that right now, in this restaurant, right here, John Wayne gives his heart to Jesus Christ and I will see her in heaven. Three weeks later John Wayne died!
You never know how your witness to another will affect their eternity!
