DAY 1
PRAYER ON THE THEME OF THE YEAR (TOTAL SALVATION)
God has ministered to the Presiding Bishop that Salvation is more than just forgiveness of sins and redemption from slavery. It is a complete package that covers our spirit, soul and body; and God wants us to walk in this completeness to reflect His Word, power, and glory.
Prayer Points
1. Salvation of the spirit-Pray that the Holy Spirit will give a deeper understanding and revelation of being born again and made spiritually alive, transitioning from spiritual death and separation from God to a restored relationship with Him (John 3:3-6; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5)
2. Salvation of the soul (mind, will & emotions) –Pray for the grace, strength and the enablement to submit and align your emotions will and mind, character and daily living to God’s will. (1 Peter 1:8-9; James 1:21; Romans 12:2; Philippians 2:12-13)
3. Salvation of the body - Pray for the grace and enablement to present your body as living sacrifice and a temple for the Holy Spirit, honoring God in physical actions and choices.Pray for the manifestation of physical and emotional healing and power to walk in the hope the promise of a final, physical resurrection into an immortal, glorified body when Christ returns (Romans 8:23-24; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Philippians 3:20-21)
4. Salvation of families and communities –God cares about families; family is God’s design. Pray that God himself by His mercy and power will set up situations and circumstances that will cause them to turn to God in repentance and surrender to His will. (Acts 16:31; Acts 2:38-39; Genesis 12:3)
5. Salvation of systems, structures and institutions - Pray for the power of God to influence and transform all areas of our lives as individuals and a Commission. That the power and redemption of God will transform oppressive or failing societal frameworks into systems that promote justice, well-being, and human flourishing (Micah 6:8; Jeremiah 29:7; Daniel 2:44)
6. Salvation expressed through godly influence in every sphere of life – Pray for the outward manifestation of God’s power of the inner salvation and transformation where believers act as salt and light, impacting all spheres of society—from family and church to government, education, and business—with the values of the Kingdom. (Matthew 5:13-16; Titus 2:11-12; Colossians 3:17
7. Pray for divine protection, preservation and exemption from any plans, schemes and manipulations of the enemy against your total salvation and redemption (John 10:10; Isaiah 54:17; Ephesians 6:11-18; 1 John 3:8)
8. Pray for the establishment and manifestation of the restoration, peace and victory God has brought into your life by redemption and deliverance.
9. Pray disrupting, scattering and crushing any work of darkness against any aspect of your total salvation
10. Thank God for answered prayers and manifestation of His victory and glory in your life.
