Abraham Atta became a house hold name some few months ago. The news about him was on television, radio and all the social media after his role in the Netflix movie beast of no nation in which he was casted as child soldier Agu. He has received several awards from both local and international organizations and several other individuals have also showered praises on the young lad. Amid those individuals is president John Dramani Mahama who mentioned and commended him at the 59th independence day celebration. Of all the awards, commendations and criticisms about the boy, there is one I would like to draw your attention to. According to Bandex, a renowned movie producer, his very own son Rahim Banda was supposed to play the character of Agu in the beast of no nation movie, but his complexion denied him of that role. For those who don't know Rahim Banda, he is a very handsome fair young boy. He has a lot of experience in the Ghana movie industry. The director of beast of no nation movie, Cary Fukunaga needed a dark complexion boy to play the role of Agu, that is how come Rahim Banda was not picked after going through audition.

what do I want to say? 🎙

Regardless your colour, your look, your size, your height, your educational level, your financial background learn to appreciate what you are.
If Abraham Atta so admired Rahim Banda's colour and blanched his skin like Bukom Banku (who thanks to God have given up on bleaching), he won't have gotten that role of Agu and all the fame and awards that has come with it.
Next time they might be looking for a short person, a biggie, a slim fellow, or an ugly person etc to play a role and that might be your chance. Never under estimate what you are

In the 90's, there is this movie I watched, sorry but I don't remember the title. I was a kid by then but I still recall the scenes in the movie

The story was about a woman who was a sterile. This woman cried to God for years for the fruit of the womb. Her by dwellers disgraced and deride her. They affronted and quarreled with her. The woman persisted in prayer. She went to church every day to pray.

One day, a friend of the woman visited her and suggested to her, '' *_I know somewhere you can get a child, all you have to do is to come with me_'*'. The woman rejected her friend's offer of help and continued praying.

This old friend of her came again with the seeming good news, but this time, the woman in her lasciviousness for a child yielded to this apposite and trailed her friend to a witch doctor. That same night, an angel of God carrying a baby came to the church where the woman had been praying everyday. The angel stood in the church awaiting the woman to deliver to her what she had been praying for, but the woman did not show up. The angel went back with the child after waiting in vain.

If God almighty did not keep his only begotten son from you and me, therefore us, but gave him unto us to make us righteous. He will also not keep from us all the other spiritual blessings. Whatever you ask for in this season of reflection on the VICTORY our LORD JESUS CHRIST won over death for us shall be granted in JESUS name. Amen.
Happy Easter volunteers.

If God almighty did not keep his only begotten son from you and me, therefore us, but gave him unto us to make us righteous, then there is nothing he will keep from us. He will add unto us all the spiritual blessings. Whatever you ask for in this season of reflection on the VICTORY our LORD JESUS CHRIST won over death on the cross for us shall be granted in JESUS name. Amen.
Happy Easter volunteers.

A time will come, however. Indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality) ; for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. John 4:23 (Amp).

These words used by the master himself " true worshipers" and "in truth", leaves me thinking, that, are there false worshipers? And are there also people who do not worship in truth?

What does worship in spirit and truth means?
Is it about drumming and dancing?
Is it about the archbishop, bishop, senior most prophet, major prophet, prophet, very reverend, reverend, pastor titles?
Is it about the size and interior decorations of our church buildings?
Is it about the church doctrines?
Is it about changing too much the way of worship to suit our generation and time?

How do you, reader of this post, worship your God, my God, our God?
Selah.

WASH AND BE CLEAN
"Naaman came with his horses and chariot and stopped at the entrance to Elisha's home.
Elisha sent a messenger to him. He said, "Wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River, and your skin will be healthy and clean."
But Naaman became angry and left. He said, "I thought he would at least come out of his house, stand somewhere, call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the infected place, and heal the skin disease.
The Abana and Pharpar Rivers in Damascus have better water than any of the rivers in Israel. Couldn't I wash in them and be clean?" So he turned around and left in anger.
But Naaman's servants went to him and said, "Master, if the prophet had asked you to do some extraordinary act, wouldn't you have done it? Why shouldn't you do as he said: 'Wash and be clean'?" " 2KINGS 5:9-13

Naaman according to the scriptures was the captain of the host of Syria, was a great man before his master, and highly respected, because by him the Lord had given deliverance to Syria, and the man was mighty in strength.

This man, as great as he was, was a l***r. Leprosy was symbolic of sin under the old covenant and so it is proper to say that this man though great, had a sin problem. Your status in life does not in any way exempt you from the ''leprosy'' of sin. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, Paul said.

It took a little girl to show Naaman the solution to his leprosy. This little girl was so convinced that if Naaman met the prophet of God, he would be made whole. I am so convinced that if you met Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, you will be made whole. Just as Naaman followed the word of that little slave girl and got his healing, follow my word and get your healing from the ''leprosy'' of sin.

The solution to his leprosy problem was very simple; that he washed himself in the Jordan River seven times. But Naaman had other expectations. He expected that the man of God would do something different. Many of us are like Naaman. If we were told to do something extraordinary in order to be saved from our sins, we wouldn’t have hesitated at all.
But the command is as simple as the one given to Naaman- ''Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.''-Acts 16:31

When he washed seven times in the Jordan, his skin became as new as that of a baby- ''Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.''2 Corinthians 5:17
The Jordan river cleansed his skin from leprosy-the precious blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Will you believe and be saved or continue to be leprous? Make a wise choice NOW!!...Selah..

GOD’S WORK IS A GREAT WORK
While spending sometime in prayer, I came into this understanding which I believe came from the Holy Spirit-that God’s work is a great work. Have you been called by God? Are you required by your pastor to play any role in your church be it in the ushering department, choir, cleaning, prayer, evangelism, etc.? I want to encourage you, beloved, that whatever station you’ve been called to work in for God, know without any shadow of doubt that God’s work, no matter what shade it comes in, is a great work.

Nehemiah had this understanding. When he received the clearance to commence the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem, he received stiff opposition from men like Tobiah and Sanballat. These men went as far as making mockery of the work which was being done by Nehemiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Their plan was to discourage them but Nehemiah knew well that the work that God had called him to was a great work. Regardless of all that was prevailing around him, Nehemiah didn’t allow anything to distract him from accomplishing the work of God. When these men-Tobiah and Sanballat failed to discourage Nehemiah from fulfilling the assignment of rebuilding the walls, they resorted to using fear as a tactic. But because of what Nehemiah knew about God’s work, he responded thus to their tactic- And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work so that I cannot come down; why should the work cease, whilst I leave it and come down to you?
Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort, and I answered them after the same manner.
What work are you doing for the Lord? Are you in that state where you feel that you aren’t recognized, that you are despised, that the work you are doing isn’t reputable? Is the devil planting thoughts of discouragement in your mind? Do you feel like giving up because no one is crediting you for your work? Are friends ‘advising’ you to quit the work you are doing for the Lord? Are your family members despising you and maltreating you because you are called to do the Lord’s work? I have good news for you-so long as it is God’s work, then it is most definitely a great work. It doesn’t matter what men may say about it; it doesn’t matter the status of what you are doing for the Lord. What matters most is that it is for the Lord and that is enough to qualify it as a great work.

So don’t ever give up. Don’t let anyone cause you to leave this great work. In fact, don’t “come down” to the level of those who mock at you or discourage you. Remain in your high position as a worker of the Lord. Men may not rank your work, but God does. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name
Don’t allow the work to cease because of low men who cannot see beyond time into eternity. Let no man rob you of your reward in the Lord. Selah.

There is something unique and special about the servants who will bring in the last great harvest. First of all, they will not be afraid to “plow in the cold.”
