Congratulations to a successful Top 5, all songs owned by Liberian artistes.
Shoutout to every Lib artiste, manager, investor, fan, supporter, blogger, dj, content creator, dancer, radio and tv presenter for their contribution towards the growth of our industry.

Some time ago, I used to be mostly the only Liberian artist topping this chart. And some people thought I was paying money to be there or I was there because my account was verified. Others thought I was there because I’m based in Ghana. Some artistes that didn’t understand started calling me audiomack artiste and also called my streams fake streams. I felt disappointed because of their ignorance. I expected them to know certain things because I met them there as an artiste cause I was a new artiste.

Also, I wasn’t happy seeing foreign artistes occupying all the top charts in my own country including Apple Music charts. But due to low income and small population, I saw audiomack to be the first preference for artistes and music lovers in Liberia.

So I started doing Facebook live days after days…talking about the importance of audiomack and also being consistent with giving the fans the music and being online with them.
I started giving tips on how to promote and engage with fans and supporters in order to get numbers. Cause the more people you get streaming your song, the better chance you’ll have to enter the top charts.

A year later, I was blessed to have gotten connected with one of Audiomack’s big people from Spain. And I was so happy. He said he’s proud of me because he has noticed that I’ve made some great impacts and got some huge numbers without a record label.

We had a lengthy conversation about how to help my career. But instead, I asked him to help my country’s music industry through Audiomack. I requested that all our top artistes songs be playlisted on Audiomack’s biggest playlists; then he laughed but he saw how serious I was.
