‭Psalms 37:1-10 NIV‬
[1] Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; [2] for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. [3] Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. [4] Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. [5] Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: [6] He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 23
The Lord the Shepherd of His People

1. The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need.

2. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.

3. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised.

4. Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.

5. You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim.

6. I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live. 🔥🔥🔥

Psalm 91
Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

1. Whoever goes to the LORD for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty,

2. can say to him, *You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.*

3. He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases.

4. He will cover you with his wings; you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you.

5. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day

6. or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight.

7. A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed.

8. You will look and see how the wicked are punished.

9. You have made the LORD your defender, the Most High your protector,

10. and so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home.

11. God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.

12. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones.

13. You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and poisonous snakes.

14. God says, *I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as LORD.

15. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them.

Psalm 30
The Blessedness of Answered Prayer

1. I praise you, LORD, because you have saved me and kept my enemies from gloating over me.

2. I cried to you for help, O LORD my God, and you healed me;

3. you kept me from the grave. I was on my way to the depths below, but you restored my life.

4. Sing praise to the LORD, all his faithful people! Remember what the Holy One has done, and give him thanks!

5. His anger lasts only a moment, his goodness for a lifetime. Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning.

6. I felt secure and said to myself, *I will never be defeated.*

7. You were good to me, LORD; you protected me like a mountain fortress. But then you hid yourself from me, and I was afraid.

8. I called to you, LORD; I begged for your help:

9. *What will you gain from my death? What profit from my going to the grave? Are dead people able to praise you? Can they proclaim your unfailing goodness?

10. Hear me, LORD, and be merciful! Help me, LORD!*

11. You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy.

[28] Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. [29] Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. [30] Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
