THE WORD FOR TODAY.
SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2026.

PURSUE CHRIST AND LET HIS LOVE SHINE THROUGH YOU.

JOHN 13:34–35

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples.”

At the heart of following Christ is a powerful trait: sacrificial, unwavering agape love. This love persists despite hurts and challenges; it reflects Jesus’ love for us.

It’s more than words.
It’s more than feelings.
It’s shown through actions.

Loving is easy when blessings flow. But it’s tested when ignored, misunderstood, or rejected. Still, Christ calls us to love, and not because it’s convenient, but because it’s His way.

This love is:

* Patient amid trials
* Kind when undeserved
* Forgiving through difficulty
* Selfless, even at a cost

Loving as Christ did means choosing to emulate Him, even when your emotions push back. It’s about extending grace, pursuing peace, and caring beyond reciprocity.

This isn’t natural; it’s spiritual. It flows from surrendering fully to Christ and His Word.
And as you walk closer with Him, this love in you deepens. Because love isn’t just something you give, it’s the mark of who you follow. Love is proof you’re a disciple of Christ.

REFLECTION:

Who is God calling you to love differently today?

PRATER:

Lord, teach me to love like You. Help me show patience, kindness, and forgiveness, even when it’s hard. Let Your love flow through me so others may see You in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!!

STAY HUMBLE AS YOU PURSUE CHRIST.

JAMES 4:6

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

As you deepen your walk with Christ, humility becomes even more essential. Growing in faith isn't about feeling superior; it's about surrendering more fully.

It's easy to start strong and then subtly drift into pride, thinking you’re more spiritual than others, relying on your own strength, or claiming credit for what God has done. But pride pushes you away from God, while humility keeps you close.

Remember, humility isn’t about thinking less of yourself; it's about thinking of yourself less.

This means:

* Acknowledging that everything you have is a gift from God
* Remaining eager to learn, no matter how much you already know
* Giving God all the praise in every situation

God isn't attracted to perfection; He’s drawn to humility. When you depend on yourself, you weaken your connection to Him.

Stay humble, and you'll stay uplifted. Humility opens the door for God’s grace to flow into your life.

REFLECTION:

In which area of your life do you need to choose humility over pride?

PRAYER:

Lord, keep my heart humble before You. Help me rely on You in everything and never on my own strength. Teach me to give You all the glory and to remain teachable each day. In Jesus’ name. AMEN!!!

KEEP PURSUING CHRIST WITH UNWAVERING OBEDIENCE.

JAMES 1:22

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

Delayed obedience might seem like a small pause, but it can cost us dearly. You hear God's voice, feel the pull in your heart, and know what needs to be done, yet hesitation creeps in. That moment of delay isn't just silence; it's disguised disobedience.

Many justify waiting for the perfect moment, better feelings, or clearer guidance. But in that pause, momentum slips away. The longer obedience is delayed, the weaker it becomes.
God values a heart that responds quickly, not perfectly, but willingly.

When you obey immediately:

* Your faith deepens
* Your ability to recognize God's voice sharpens
* Your confidence in His guidance grows

On the other hand, delaying often breeds doubt, leading you to question what once seemed clear. Partial obedience can hide as disobedience, often unnoticed.

Remember, God's words are meant for transformation, not just information. True change requires action. Hearing alone isn’t enough; obedience ignites real transformation.

REFLECTION:

What is God prompting you to do that you’ve been putting off?

PRAYER:

Lord, set ablaze in me a heart eager to obey immediately. Help me remove excuses and delays. Empower me to act on Your guidance, trusting that Your way is always the best. In Jesus’ name. AMEN!!!

KEEP PURSUING CHRIST, LET GO OF YOUR WORRIES

KEEP PURSUING CHRIST, LET GO OF YOUR WORRIES

THE WORD FOR TODAY.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2026.

KEEP PURSUING CHRIST, LET GO OF YOUR WORRIES.

1 PETER 5:6-7 (KJV):

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

There’s no reason to carry burdens that aren’t yours to carry. Worry often comes from trying to control everything, what might happen, the problems we face, or worst-case scenarios. But true peace comes from trusting in God and surrendering our concerns to the One who is completely in control.

You weren’t meant to carry the weight of the unknown or future outcomes. Holding onto worry only steals your joy. Instead, by releasing those fears to God, you invite His peace into your heart.

Remember, trust isn’t about knowing all the answers; it’s about trusting the One who holds them. Let go of the need to figure everything out, give it to God, and leave it there. He cares deeply and is ready to carry your burdens.

REFLECTION:

What worries are you holding onto that you need to surrender to God?

PRAYER:

Lord, I give You my worries. Help me trust You with every concern and uncertain moment. Fill me with Your peace and remind me that You are in control, in Jesus’ name. ANEM!!

SHINE BRIGHT IN YOUR PURSUIT OF CHRIST.

MATTHEW 5:16

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Your walk with Christ isn't meant to be tucked away or hidden in the shadows. God is working within you, but He also longs to shine boldly through you.

There’s something truly inspiring about a life that reflects Him—through words, actions, character, and every daily choice.

Even if people never pick up a Bible, they will see your life—the way you speak, respond, and treat others. Every moment is a powerful story about your faith.

Shining your light isn’t about perfection; it’s about authenticity and purpose—living in a way that naturally draws others closer to God.

THIS MEANS:

* Showing kindness when least expected
* Upholding integrity when no one’s watching
* Remaining peaceful amid chaos
* Demonstrating love even in the toughest moments

Your life can be a compelling testimony without saying a word. Don’t hide what God has placed inside you just to fit in or go unnoticed. You were created to shine. When you do, God’s glory is revealed.

REFLECTION:

How can you intentionally reflect Christ to someone today?

PRAYER:

Lord, shine through my life. Fill me with Your love, truth, and character in everything I do. Use me as a bright light that guides others back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
