Yesterday, 5th May, 2026. Mrs Mary Nyamekye, wife of the THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST Chairman delivered a powerful message during the launch of the Women’s Ministry Week Celebration 2026 urging believers, especially women, to become agents of transformation through prayer and fasting to transform their society. Referencing Matthew 5:13, John 1:14, and Jeremiah 29:7, she emphasised that through Jesus Christ, believers have received victory and are called to be the salt and light of the world.

She noted that despite the increasing darkness, chaos, and distractions in society, Christians have a responsibility to influence their environments through discipline, self-control, and godly living. She highlighted that the spread of sin is largely due to the neglect of preaching the Gospel and encouraged believers to be bold in sharing Christ.

Mrs Nyamekye urged Christians not to fear the future but to remain hopeful in Jesus Christ, while staying spiritually alert through consistent prayer and fasting. She stressed that prayer is the source of every believer’s strength, warning that neglecting it leads to weak homes and spiritual decline.

In conclusion, she called on women to rise in prayer, hold firmly to their faith in Christ, and actively impact their homes and society for God’s glory.
