Sorry for the delay but here is Thursday's report:
Mission Impossible day 4. Today we heard the story of the breakfast on the shore and Jesus’s call to Peter. Once again the Hooded Bogey and Stephen Snot broke into the base but the Hooded Bogey was caught and decided he was too old to continue being a super villain and wanted to retire. The Genesis Plan turned out to be about preparing Kevin and Holly to take over from Dan Diamond as super spies. Stephen Snot took the Hooded Bogey’s mask and decided to train some swans to be an attack force, this did not go well. Later Kevin and Holly tried to give the spies some new code names which caused lots of confusion and Dan Diamond and the Hooded Bogey decided to fill their retirement by decorating the base.
Meanwhile the junior agents answered a quiz then played a game getting sweets out of spray cream. In their groups they coloured pictures, did various physical challenges and had lots of fun. We all joined together for Dan Diamon’s Dynamite Dinner and Dance.
We had a great week meeting lots of children and their families. A big thank you to all the leaders and people who made it possible.

Mission Impossible day 3. Today we heard the story of Jesus feeding the 5000. The spies were excited about going to a talk by a famous spy but P’s super sticky glue caused Dan and Kevin to get stuck together. The Hooded Bogey and Stephen Snot plotted to kidnap P and P ended up trapped by his own invention, an invisible wall. In the end the junior agents helped to free P and The Hooded Bogey and Stephen Snot tried to steal the briefcase and got stuck to it.
Meanwhile the junior agents answered a quiz then played a game guessing what was in the boxes. In their groups they baked bread and fish and bread shaped biscuits, learnt about dead letter drops and hunted for clues, examined their fingerprints, made a cipher wheel and played guessing games.

Mission Impossible day 2. Today we heard the story of Esther and how she was brave and trusted God to save her people. The spies were visited by a new spy who was definitely in no way evil villain apprentice Stephen Snot. The Hooded Bogey and Stephen Snot plotted to steal all the spies food and stop them completing the Genesis plan but Kevin and Holly thwarted their plans.
Meanwhile the junior agents answered a quiz then played a silly game of how disguises can you fit on Holly and Kevin. In their groups they tried invisible writing, played trust games, made balloon cannons and tried to climb through the laser maze.

Day 1 of Mission Impossible.
We heard the story of Rahab and the spies sent into Jericho.
We met Dan Diamond and his team of spies, The Boss, P, Kevin Clubs and Holly Heart as they worked on the Genesis plan. The Hooded Bogey, Dan Diamond's nemesis and 5 times winner of of the Nastiest Villain in Yorkshire award, and his evil apprentice Stephen Snot, tried to steal the top secret plans but were thwarted with the help of the junior agents.
Meanwhile the junior agents made spying devices, binoculars, ID cards, friendship bracelets and other fun activities.

So - imagine the scenario. You’ve already had five weeks of the summer holidays; the kids are bored and fractious and you’re desperate for something to keep them occupied that won’t cost too much.
Why not send them to Mission Impossible, St. Luke’s Activity Week? It’s fun, it’s free and it’s for everyone aged between 4 and 11.
This year the theme will be ‘spies’ and we invite you to join Dan Diamond and his agents as they go on a top secret mission. There will be spy themed craft, games, puzzles, a daily play, a chance to make new friends and lots and lots of fun.
Mission Impossible is on Monday 24th to Thursday 27th August from 9.00 to 12.00 each morning and takes place in St. Luke’s church and hall. Booking takes place on Friday 21st August between 5.30pm and 6.30pm in St Luke’s Church Hall or send us a message via our page or email [email protected] to book a place. We are an inclusive church and are happy to accept children with additional needs but please let us know when booking.
Bookings can only be accepted from a parent or guardian.
