YORK IN RECOVERY CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE!

Yes you heard correctly........ York in recovery will be holding their Christmas service at St Helen's again. The service is both inspiring and fun, celebrating recovery in York. We welcome at St Helen “Havfruene”. This translates as Mermaids and they come from a coastal town in Norway. Friday 16th September at 4pm. Its set to be a superb event. All are welcome so why not drop in for a little something different 😀

The parish wishes to appoint one organ scholar and choral scholars in September/October 2022 to replace those who have graduated and moved on. Applicants must be in full time education and aged over 18. Details will be published here on Facebook and at https://www.sthelenwithstmartinyork.org.uk/current-news-items/current-news-items-6288.php where the posts will be advertised when finalised. A Bank Holiday Organ Extravaganza with Recitalist Stefan Piotrowicz, Organ Scholar at Durham Cathedral. A drop in event with retiring collection in aid of Church Music and Organ. Join us at 2pm on Monday 29th August. All are welcome 😀

We welcome The Nottingham Youth Choir. This event is TOMORROW (Wednesday 3rd) 12noon at St Helens Church, Stonegate. The Nottingham Youth Choir from Sherwood Park, Alberta, CANADA will be performing a selection of sacred pieces and folk songs. Come along, All are welcome 😀

The Union Chancel Choir from Irmo, South Carolina are on tour in the UK! At St Helen this Friday 1st July. Their repertoire includes secular and sacred music, mostly from the 20th century and with an American flavour. It promices the be a great set. All are welcome 😃
