At the Heritage Cafe at WEMC @ Newton Upon Derwent, the Parish Council presented the Community Trophy to the first ever winner, Jess Richardson.

Jess regularly hosts the cafe raising funds for a variety of charities. On Saturday she focused on Age UK (York), raising £250.

Jess has also been sponsored to walk 13 miles across the Wolds, following one of the trails in memory of the Wolds Rangers.

The wild area has been sprayed and is now ready to develop into extra parking and flower and shrub borders. No more can be done now until the re roofing project is completed.
The roofers have put some scaffolding in place so the project has commenced. We've managed to raise £43,000 in small grants.
We must now begin to find £200,000 to replace the windows in both buildings...any ideas?
