Tomorrow for International Women’s Day, you’re warmly invited to two free events at Central Methodist Church, York, celebrating women of faith past and present.
At 10.30am there will be a service of Christian worship featuring the stories of inspirational women from history and today. The service will be led by women, with hymns by women, and everyone is welcome, of all faiths or none. There will also be time to explore the beautiful 1840 chapel. You’re very welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the church hall before the afternoon event.
Then at 1.00pm, join the Women of Faith Walking Tour of York, a guided walk around the city centre focusing on women of faith in York’s history. The tour will be led by Angie Cresswick.
