There was a lot of uniform taken away at the uniform bank this year, but still a boot full left! It’s great to support the work of the Re:uniform bank in Hull.

It's been great to have such a great response to this showing. Looking forward to seeing everyone who has signed up. There's still time to sign up, folks. In the summer of heatwaves, wildfires and droughts, the effects of the climate and nature emergency are clearly being seen. There's a lot of misinformation out there so why not come along to our people's emergency briefing? It's more than 'just' an environmental issue, it affects our food security, and health and much more. There'll be a 50 minute film which shares the facts in short bursts followed by quick reflections with Chris Packham and guests. After this we'll have a chance for refreshments and chat about the film. In the last 30 minutes we'll come together to find some positive next steps. Finish by 9pm. The Uniform Bank is here until 2pm today. Plenty of cake left too 😁. There are the local schools for logo items but there’s plenty of general uniform too suitable for other schools. It’s been lovely to chat to families as they come along - such a chilled out feel to it today. As volunteers we love the uniform bank ❤️

Phew! All sorted and set up for the uniform bank tomorrow! A huge shout out to the small army of sorters, welcomers, bakers, organisers, tea-makers, washers, menders and all of those who donated their child’s school uniforms. Saturday is pick up day! Plenty of primary school items but not so much Jo Ro uniform. We never know what we will get. It’s all free but any donations go to Refugee Action York. 10am until 2pm. Refreshments available too ❤️

It takes more than a few roadworks to stop the uniform bank! Our volunteers are at either end of the barriers ready to receive your donations! We are here until 4pm.

You have Monday and Tuesday this week to drop off your child's Uniform at Aroma, or Wednesday to be be able to drop it off at Haxby & Wigginton Methodist Church (9.30am-4pm). There will be road works outside the church this week so no vehicle access I'm afraid. We'll be ok for pick up day on Saturday though!
