Part of the Bishopthorpe Road Parishes group along with St Andrews Bishopthorpe; working together in prayer. The Parish Church of Saint Chad on the Knavesmire, or St Chad’s, is the parish Church for South Bank, York. It has occupied its prominent position close to the racecourse and opposite the old Terry’s site since it was founded in 1926 and has played an important part in local life ever since. St Clement's is a friendly Church on Scarcroft Road, just outside the city walls and has stood for over 120 years. St Andrew's is located in Bishopthorpe; a thriving church in the village that represents the seat of the Archbishops of York. We are busy parish churches with a range of services and community hubs for use by many local organisations. We are a places of quiet and prayerful reflection and we are also a place of beautiful music and social events. As the parish church for South Bank, St Chad’s, St Clement's and St Andrew's are here for you throughout your life – not just Sunday mornings. Together we can mark life’s milestones – the birth of a baby, a marriage or saying farewell to a loved one. We look forward to seeing you; however you choose to engage with us.

Calling all young people! St Andrew's youth groups begin again in their new Sunday evening slot on Sunday 6th September.

⭐ Quest ⭐ New for 2026! Quest is for anyone in years 6 - 8, between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday evenings.

⭐ Summit⭐ If you're in year 9 or above, come and join the fun from 6:30pm to 9pm on Sunday evenings.

Both groups are at St Andrew's Church Hall during term time, and include a shared meal together. They're free, with a suggested donation of £2.50 to cover the cost of food.
