Our annual prayer walk around the Benefice is on Wednesday. It's about 35 miles and 12 hours walking. After the visit of David Pain to Second Sunday today, I feel moved to make money the focus of my prayers, so if there are particular financial needs you would like me to bring to the foot of the throne of our generous God then please message me (via email and suchlike) whether you think I know them already or not and I will lift them in prayer as I travel. If you want to meet up with us or walk with us, we're going widdeshins this year starting at Batcombe at about 6:30. We average about 3 miles an hour, and our parish churches are on average about 2 miles apart so you should be able to work out roughly where we'll be and when (at least as well as we can!). The order is Batcombe, Hilfield Friary, Hilfield, Hermitage, Glanvilles Wootton, Pulham, Holwell, The Borough, Bishops Caundle, Caundle Marsh, Folke, Longburton, Lillington, Beer Hackett, Thornford, Bradford Abbas, Clifton Maybank, Ryme Intrinseca, Yetminster (with apologies to Holnest - the A352 is simply too dangerous to walk).
