St John's is an evangelical Church of England church located in the centre of Yeovil, Somerset. Join us on Sundays; our main service is at 10:30am, with children's groups and creche. At 6.30pm we have an informal service, 6.30@StJohn's, with a focus on teaching.

Over the next few weeks we are looking at life, gender, marriage and family; a question night answering questions that our youth have put in the box and Jon Peace is talking abut what living for God in the world looks like for him. We have a pool party, wide games, pizza night and beach social. Please pray for our youth as they grapple with what it means to stand out and be different, as Christians in the world.

Children's Society Boxes
Thank you to all St John's and St Andrew's Box Holders for the amazing £900.00 we have been able to send to the Children's Society this year. In his recent letter Andrew Moran. Head of Supporter Experience says ' Thanks to the compassion of Box Holders, children who feel isolated, neglected or without hope are now receiving the support and care they desperately need. You are providing them with a brighter future, helping them feel seen, valued and empowered to overcome the challenges they face.'

World environment day
The planet doesn’t argue. It doesn’t negotiate. It sends signals—rising seas, raging wildfires, heatwaves, melting glaciers.

We said 1.5°C was the limit. We are crossing it.

For decades, the world has heard the climate story—warnings, targets, distant deadlines. Too often, the response has been lost in noise: delay, distraction, denial.

But listen closer now. Beneath the noise, another signal is rising. Solar panels stretch across rooftops. Wind turbines line the horizon. Cities are being redesigned for people. Forests are being replanted. Climate solutions are taking root in every corner of the planet.

We can all do our bit in our little corner of God's world.

A reminder for everyone to keep their details up to date on ChurchSuite which serves as our primary church directory at St. John's. Emma is now running 'drop in' sessions on a Thursday at Gone Fishing Cafe for anyone who needs support / training on how to use ChurchSuite. There is no need to book in, just bring your phone / tablet / laptop if you are able to and ask at the door when you arrive for training with Emma. (She's happy to help and promise there are no silly questions!)
