It’s a challenging day here today - ☺️

Our dear friend, Fr Jon, has been upgraded to glory 😇

While our hearts ache with the pain of loss, we also hold that heaven has welcomed another faithful servant; another soul joins the great Communion of Saints.

Fr Jon was a great bloke, a wonderful priest and just brilliant — he didn’t simply talk the talk—he walked the walk.

He walked alongside people with humility, kindness, humour and a stoic and unwavering conviction in His faith.

And joining him earlier this year in the Walk of Witness on Good Friday —seemed more poignant than ever before 🙏

He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard and loved, and his priesthood was a blessing to so many.

We’ll miss his laughter, his friendship, his wisdom and his presence. But we give thanks for the privilege of having shared a small part of the journey with him.

Thank you for your faithful ministry.
Thank you for your friendship.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.🙏
