July 12th was a very hot day in Shenington but we managed our first fete since pre-covid times. (It was washed out two years ago with severe storms!)
It was a fun day with tradition village-fete stalls. Tea was served in a gorgeous garden and the book stall was housed in the cool church.
There were fabulous prizes in the draw and altogether we raised well over £2000 which will go to the two beautiful historic churches in the parish.

We look forward to the next fete and hope for a day neither too wet nor too hot!

Can you help us with raising money for our churches by supporting/taking part in Ride and Stride on Saturday 13th September?

Ride and Stride is run by OHCT and is a great way of raising funds for our churches by participants being sponsored for walking/cycling between churches. It is open to all ages and levels of fitness. We also need volunteers to welcome participants and sign off sponsorship forms when they arrive at each church.

OHCT give half the money raised to the church the participant is registered with. Some of our churches will need grants from OHCT this year and next, so it would be great if more people can take part this year on Saturday 13th September. This year the focus is Deddington Deanery.
