Penycae church made sock angels at their family breakfast service and on volunteer Sunday were thanked for their volunteer hours and reminded to keep up the good work!

On saturday it was a privilege for our church to host a community event run by our local Cllr John Phillips. Both he and family members purchased gifts to give as prizes following a treasure hunt and table games in the church to about 40 children in our neighbourhood. The church members provided refreshments including hotdogs. To see so many smiling was a real delight. Thank you all.

This weeks outreach was not to busy but busy enough to know the team are making a difference and helping others... this weeks hot food was donated by our good friend Yvonne Girvan also the snapping bags , the chilli and rice was a massive hit and received many compliments made by Rev Tracey Day.... also the homemade cakes this week made by our dear friend Jane Alexandra who also donates treats for the homeless dogs. Jane Alexandra and her amazing hubby Ralph are personal friends of ours and have helped Wrexham outreach team for many years and we totally appreciate your help and support ###xx
One thing we as a team are noticing that we are seeing new faces on a weekly basis which is worrying, all of whom who come to see us on a Wednesday evening are at a point in their life were they are desperate enough to ask for food and seek our friendly approach and acknowledgement .......
If YOU see someone in town over the weekend or through the week who looks like they could do with a friendly chat , go and speak with them and advise them to go to Queens Square for hot meals and a chat , we also have trained mental health professionals a nurse a chiropodist even a vicar , but most importantly we are human and welcoming and always ready to listen ###respect###x

This afternoon Penycae church joined with family and friends to celebrate the baptism of two members of their congregation, followed by a delicious buffet.
