Today we continued our sermon series, 'Shaped by Faith', as we look at our Church's Core Values and Articles of Faith.
In todays sermon, Pastor Darlene explained what it means to be a Holiness People.
“For Jesus, holiness is contagious, outgoing, embracing, and joyous. It transforms and brings reconciliation.” (Dr. Kent Brower) And why does becoming holy matter? “Because when the Church wakes up to the second half of the gospel, the world will wake up to the first half of the gospel.” (J. D. Walt, Seedbed)
This video describes the results of a major study by the Barna Group conducted in the USA in 2011. Researchers believe the percentages will not differ widely in other Western English speaking countries.
