Grawys Goodbyes 👋🏼

Tomorrow marks the start of Lent aka Grawys

And if I’m honest… I’m pumped.
(If you can be pumped for something so contemplative.)

Life has been moving at 500 miles an hour lately —
changing the business, slowing things down, preparing to move into seminary full-time, navigating personal highs, lows, and everything in between.

Coming back to Australia was meant to be a liminal space.
And now that liminal space is leading me straight into Lent.

I’ve been listening to studies on the Desert Fathers:
their radical focus on holiness, their deep connection to God, their rootedness that allowed them to serve society.

They understood something we often forget:
you have to retreat in order to advance.

So yes… this is one of those posts.
The “I’m leaving social media for Lent” kind.

But because social media is also part of my work and how I stay connected with many of you it felt right to say it out loud.

(Also because Mum will wonder why I’m not posting 🤣)

Between now and Easter, I’m stepping away from the scroll.

No binging.
No swiping.
No scrolling.

I’m pressing pause on streaming my favourite shows and turning toward study.

I’m stepping back from dating apps on the slide (yes… I do that too) and investing in the relationships already in my life.

I’m stepping away from dopamine hits but toward contemplation and confession.

I’ll still be living, walking, noticing, praying.
Taking photos.
Paying attention.

And I’ll share again when I return.

Because I’m in a threshold season moving from one thing into another.

As I’ve joked before it’s like Britney Spears - not a girl not yet a woman.

I’m not a small business addict but not yet a priest.

So I’m going to honour this liminal space.
To draw close to God.
To draw close to those I love.
To slow the heck down.

Know this:
I love you.
You carry an incredible calling.

And I trust that on the other side of this season
I’ll come flying out of the gate —
with a clearer heart,
a deeper message,
and a more radicalised mission
to bring God glory.

See you at Easter.

Business is discipleship. 🔥

I was reading Malachi 3 this morning — “I will send my messenger…”

Yes, that’s John the Baptist…

…but last time I checked, John isn’t in your business, your neighbourhood, or your DMs.

You are.
Your business isn’t neutral.
Your leadership isn’t accidental.

Your craft, skills, and calling can form people, not just invoice them.
You don’t get paid to disciple.

You get paid to give people the skills they’re looking for — as a coach, consultant, or advisor.

But as they step into your slipstream…
as you train, equip, and lead…
they also encounter the ways of God.

After 10 years of coaching, the deepest joy isn’t the professional wins.
It’s watching people encounter the loving, steady, invitational heart of God through how you live, lead, and invite them into your world.
