Can I just say that if you are thinking of coming to our quiz n chips ( thank you to those who have already booked) we need to finalise numbers before we order the chips!!
If possible, it would be helpful if we could collect the £5s, before the event. Please contact me - Jan Fletcher - by text and then I can organise the pre- payment .

On July 11th All Saints' Church in Gresford are holding a Fun/Heritage Day. We will be displaying some of our Parish records, together with artefacts, memorabilia and photographs from our locality to highlight the changes that both Gresford and Marford have undergone in the past.
We are also hoping that local families, sports teams, schools, clubs and local businesses could offer to share with us any photos which we could then include in our display of past adventures, fun events and village "happenings" or local characters perhaps?
On July 11th there will be lots to see and do in and around the church.
We would be very grateful to anyone who felt that they could loan to us , for a day, anything they would care to share!
We realise that photographs in particular are special records and are particularly precious to family members, so we are prepared to just display them under protection, or possibly just show a photocopy of your items.

If you would like to help us by allowing us to display any photos or photocopies of your items on this day ( or if you think you would like to help our archivist arrange the displays themselves) we would love to hear from you.
Please send me a message via this page- or contact me by Messenger before the end of May. We would be very grateful.

The Fun Heritage Day is being planned as part of our outreach within our community, together with an information opportunity in relation to our plans for the re-ordering and development of All Saints' Church as a community sharing space.
Thank you in advance for any photos you could offer us.
Janet Fletcher Pp Church Council.

The Church Council and members of the congregation were very sorry to get the following announcement yesterday.

"Announcement from Archdeacon of Montgomery

The Rev’d Vicki Burrows has been appointed as Priest in Charge and Rural Pioneer Minister of Borderlinks, in the Diocese of Hereford. She will take up her new role on 7th September 2026. We are enormously sorry to lose Vicki but respect her decision to return to Hereford; I know that many of you will join me in wishing Vicki well in her future ministry and in expressing our heartfelt thanks for her contribution during what was a brief period as a member of the Teulu Asaph.

As archdeacon I am working with the Bishop to explore options for a short temporary ministerial secondment to help and support the people of Gresford and Holt as we begin to prepare for the permanent recruitment of Vick’s successor. I will be visiting the churches shortly to discuss the next steps.

We are enormously grateful to the wardens at St Chad’s and All Saints for their care and oversight during what has been a challenging time and am personally grateful to the Rev’d Helen Barnes as she continues as Interim Mission Area Leader.

The Venerable Gerwyn Huw Capon
Archdeacon of Montgomery"

We at Gresford, wish Vicki all the best for when she takes up her new post. Her enthusiasm and energy will be missed by our congregation.

Plants available to buy, cake to eat, a raffle ticket to buy and a chat over a coffee or tea.
