Our Ridván celebrations this year were truly beautiful, filled with a warm and uplifting atmosphere that brought everyone together in joy and unity. The air was rich with the sound of heartfelt prayers, and the spirit of love and devotion could be felt all around. Stories of Bahá’u’lláh’s time in the Garden of Ridván were shared with great reverence, deepening our connection to this sacred time. Every moment was touched with a sense of peace and gratitude, making it a truly memorable celebration.

The Twin Holy Birthdays, celebrated by Baháʼís worldwide, honor the births of the two central figures of the Baháʼí Faith: the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. These festivals typically occur in October or November, based on a lunar calendar.

The Báb, born in 1819 in Shiraz, Persia (modern-day Iran), was the herald and forerunner of the Bahá’í Faith. His teachings laid the foundation for the coming of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, born two years later in 1817 in Tehran, Persia. The Báb called people to prepare for “He whom God shall make manifest”—Bahá’u’lláh—who would bring a message of global unity and peace.

Celebrations of the Twin Holy Birthdays vary across cultures but often include prayer, storytelling, singing, feasting, and community service projects. This occasion holds special meaning for Baháʼís, symbolizing the unity of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh’s missions and the beginning of the Bahá’í Faith’s path toward global unity and peace.

Unification of the whole of mankind is the hall-mark of the stage which human society is now approaching. Unity of family, of tribe, of city-state, and nation have been successively attempted and fully established. World unity is the goal towards which a harassed humanity is striving.
