We are a friendly, open and welcoming church community, with enjoyable worship and a relaxed atmosphere.

We believe that God calls us to be at the heart of the area, serving the needs of the whole parish including the communities of Worplesdon, Wood Street and Fairlands. This means that we try to reflect the love of God in all that we say and do, growing closer to each other as caring friends and closer to our neighbours. Newcomers are always welcome and we hope that you will find a spiritual home here - all are truly welcome.

We’ve been celebrating this week - congratulations to Ellie and Connor who got married on a beautiful sunny afternoon last week - we wish them every happiness. Then on Sunday we celebrated the first baptism anniversary of three little ‘worples’ 😁 when Revd David Senior came to speak to the parish about stewardship and giving. Want to know how you can support your local church? There are many ways and we’d love for you to be part of it - please get in touch!

We enjoyed a lovely Harvest Lunch on Sunday - both churches joined together for a wonderful ploughman’s following our services. Our harvest donations have already gone to Guildford Food Bank - thank you to everyone who came along and donated gifts or helped create a wonderful lunch. 🥗

Be part of it - come and join our present packing party!

Operation Christmas Child is a global project run by the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse that collects gift-filled shoeboxes for children in need.

How It Works
* Packing Gifts: Individuals, families, and churches fill standard shoeboxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and fun gifts.

* Reaching Children: These boxes are distributed to children in over 175 countries and territories who face poverty, war, natural disaster, or disease.

* Spreading the Message: Working with local churches worldwide, the project pairs the gift distribution with a child-friendly presentation of the Christian Gospel.

* Discipleship: Children who receive a box are invited to take part in “The Greatest Journey,” a 12-lesson follow-up Bible study program.

Help us spread the happiness! We will be holding a Packing Party at St Mary’s 3-5pm on Sunday 25th October there’ll be tea, cake and chat. We have shoe boxes to wrap and fill so please bring paper and small presents. Need ideas? Check out Samaritan's Purse UK or@pick up a leaflet from either of our churches.

The Poppy Project - thank you to everyone who has been knitting or crocheting over the last few months. We would like as many completed poppies as possible to be handed in by Harvest Festival Sunday October 4th. If you have large quantities please could you hand them in as soon as possible to either church or to the church office. Please make sure your name is on the bag so that we know who to thank!
‘Planting’ will take place during October half-term.
If you have any of our red/black wool left please return it as there are still some speedy knitters who are continuing to make poppies and we can pass it on to them.

Thank you to Wildlife Aid Foundation who came to tend to an injured fawn in the church grounds today. Sadly it was too badly injured and needed to be put to sleep but we really appreciated Wildlife Aid’s quick response and their compassion towards the fawn.
