God is rich (existing in plentiful quantities; abundant) in mercy (Ephesians 2:4), so just because He has extended mercy to someone does not mean He does not have anymore to extend you. Selah!

The dominion mandate is potent and relevant today as when the God The Father first spoke in Genesis 1:28. Therefore, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue and have dominion.

“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant. Job 14:7-9

The bible passage quoted above highlights the reason why as believers we don’t give up hope. The bible is replete with instances where it seems like all hope was lost, but somehow, hope was reborn and story ends with joy. Take the story of Naomi and Ruth recorded for us in the book of Ruth, if you stopped at chapter 1, you would see the tragic loss of hope, especially in Ruth 1:20, when Naomi said “do not call me Naomi, but call me Mara” because of all she had been through. But you see, sometimes, hope is reborn after the tragic loss of hope. This is the picture that we see by the time we get to chapter 4 of the book of Ruth. Look at what the neighbour women said about Naomi in Ruth 4:17 ““there is a son born to Naomi” and they called his name Obed””.
Within this seemingly sad story came the greatest king in Israel, David (Obed was the grandfather of David), and from whose lineage came our Lord Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Truly, there is hope for tree……at the scent of water.
Your story has not ended!
Join us this Sunday at the City of God Workington as we continue on our discourse on “Hope An Anchor For The Soul”. Hebrews 6:19

Hope, beautifully captured in this verse of scripture "If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes" (Job 14:14)
The amazing thing is this, we have a Living Hope, Jesus Christ our hope (1 Timothy 1:1).
