Welcome to James as the new Vicar of St Andrew’s and Renewal Lead for the Saltway team in Droitwich. It was wonderful to licence him today and to celebrate the start of a new season for the church and for James and his family. Church of England Diocese of Worcester

I had such a wonderful day seeing the creative and generous work being done by schools and churches in Malvern and Upton. I met people of all ages and every background who love God and their communities, and was reminded yet again how churches provide a crucial network of practical support and faithful hope in our cities, towns and villages.

I had a wonderful time with Messy Vintage meeting the community there and making a hand made mouse, while we thought about the wonder of creation. Thank you all

Bishop Hugh has issued this statement following the crash of the Royal Navy helicopter in Devon today: I am deeply saddened by the news of the crash of a Royal Navy Merlin helicopter near Sourton today. The families of those involved, and all who are affected by this terrible news, are in my prayers.

I have visited the Royal Navy flying stations in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset and seen at first hand the commitment and professionalism of the people who serve there are. I know how devastating this will be to the whole Armed Forces community, who are also in my prayers.

Bishop Hugh is Bishop to the Armed Forces as well as being Bishop of Worcester.

"There are lots of things that are important to us in the life of the church - things that we choose to put our time, energy and our love into. The thing that's most important to me - the thing that I'm going to put more of my time, energy and my prayer into - is welcoming children and young people, their families, and young adults into the life of the church. Both so that we can share with them what we know about the goodness, the love and the mercy of God, and so that we can learn from them what they know about the goodness, the love, and the mercy of God." - Bishop Hugh.

Here's why that priority is so important to Bishop Hugh 📲🧑‍🧒‍🧒
