Last Sunday our Explorers group made 'Moses in a basket' cakes while discussing the bible story. There were some very interesting thoughts about God helping us when we're scared and how people who don't seem strong can end up doing surprisingly big things!

This Sunday both children's groups will be following Moses's story to the burning bush during the 10.30 service.

It is with great sadness that we have to cancel the History Talk this week by Paul Harding from Discover History. Some of you may have seen on Facebook that his wife Helen has been diagnosed with Cancer and has to have some urgent treatment.

All of the team at church are praying for Helen and Paul and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time and we hope that the treatment is successful. I am sure that you will all want to join us with those thoughts and prayers.

We will keep you advised about future talks when we know what is happening.

After our short summer break we will be back next week with our monthly events, starting with the History talk by the entertaining Paul Harding, from Discover History. For September Paul will be bringing the final battle of the English Civil War to life for us, that was, of course, the Battle of Worcester on 3rd September 1651.

Come along to join us when Paul will tell us all about how the battle went and the outcome for the City of Worcester. There will be the usual array of cakes, tea and coffee available during the break.

We hope to see you there at 1pm on 10th of September.

On Tuesday 1st September during our weekly BCP* service our Vicar, Rev Dr Phil Bradford, was officially licenced as the Area Dean for Worcester City Deanery by the Archdeacon of Worcester, the Venerable Mark Badger. It was a short but very meaningful part of the service.

We all wish him well in his new post.

As is usual the service was followed by some wonderful cakes and tea/coffee made for the occasion by our ladies.

😀Great News😀
It has been decided that the afternoon Tea and Cakes will now take place this month. It will be on Wednesday 19th at the normal time of 2.45. So why not come along and sit in our cool church for an afternoon and enjoy some lovely cakes with good friendship. Come alone to chat to the others and make friends or come with your friends.

The church is a nice cool place in this current hot weather.
