Another brilliant talk from Paul today. So much history about our area of Worcester. Certainly worth trying to get hold of the trail map and following it. Worse case use the map in the post below.

🐻✨ Bear-y exciting things are coming St John's Fayre on Sunday 21st of June! ✨🐻

Have you got your teddy ready for an adventure? Adopt a bear or bring your own along and watch them brave the zip wire! Every adoption and zip wire run helps raise money for Snoezelen, making every bear a hero. ❤️ The zip wire will be running 12.30 to 2.30pm.

Plus there'll be:

🎵 Live music
🛍️ Stalls
🎯 Games and lots of family fun!

🎨 Crafts
☕️ Food and drink
🧸 Teddy bear adoptions (or bring your own bear!)
🔍 Teddy bear trail inside the church
🎶 Songs of Praise service at 3pm

Whether you're hunting for bears, enjoying the music, or cheering on our fearless furry zip wire riders, there's something for everyone.

We're excited to be part of the amazing team of organisations and individuals bringing this together including (if possible tag people, see below) and more. It'll be an un-bear-lievable day!

🌿 All Age Eucharist – second Sunday of the month 🌿

Did you know that our 10.30am service on the second Sunday of each month is an All Age Eucharist? It’s a chance for everyone, young and old, to worship together in creative and accessible ways.
Over the last few months we've used building blocks and drinking cups to help us pray.

✨ Join us this Sunday, 14 June, at 10.30am, to find out how we'll pray using seeds.

We’d love to see you there!

This month Paul Harding, from Discover History, is going to be telling us all about our own little corner of Worcester, the Village in the City or St John's as we call it. The title of the talk is St John's Heritage Trail but I can assure you that there will not be any walking involved! The talk will take place in the church, which is at the centre of St John's and will include a vast array of stunning cakes during the refreshment break.

So don't miss out, join us at 1pm on Thursday 11th June.

At this month's Cafe @ 10.45 the speaker will be our very own Rev Phil Bradford who will be providing the thoughts for the day. So come along to hear what he has to say and enjoy some fresh Danish pastries with a tea or coffee and chat with your friends, new and old, before and after Phil's talk.

Another brilliant talk by Paul, full of his usual fascinating facts about history and Worcester particularly. Once again there was an incredible array of delicious cakes made by the ladies of the church for the break.

Keep an eye out for the details of next month’s talk when Paul will be delving into the history of St John’s.

It was a brilliant concert last Saturday from TfO Choir. Alongside a range of music from fun, jolly numbers to reflective, emotional pieces, the compere treated us to fascinating facts about the songs and their screen origins. Did you know Somewhere Over The Rainbow was nearly cut from The Wizard of Oz?

The choir brought us songs such as Circle of Life, Pure Imagination, The Lord Is My Shepherd, and a fun medley of Red Dwarf, Mr Bean and Blackadder. Well done to our very own congregation member Kate Staiger, who delighted us with her beautiful solo performance of Journey to the Past from Anastasia.

Thank you to those who came along - we hope that you enjoyed it!
