This coming Sunday our soapbox preachers take us into the New Testament, and we discover that even fish cannot escape the eye of Jesus. Just when the disciples, on the sea of Galilee had spent the whole night fishing without a catch, Jesus tells them to go and try again! They are standing at the banks of the Red Sea, with an Egyptian army bearing down on them and there is no escape. Have you ever felt like you're in a place of no escape? We are so excited for the start of our Soapbox Sunday's this coming Sunday. New faces, new theme (Stories of the Sea) and an expectancy of God to speak to us in new ways. We don't slow down because it's the summer, we believe for fresh ideas and fresh revelation.
Starting this coming Sunday, 9am and 11am we look at the creation of the seas by an amazing God who spoke life and love into our universe.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

How exactly do we stay rooted in Christ, with all of life's twists and turns? How do we hold fast to truth while the world leads us another way?

This coming Sunday we are excited to welcome back Lynn Swart to St Paul's. Lynn always brings a timely prophetic message speaking into our lives as a church and as individuals and this Sunday will unpack the challenge of making sure we are grounded in Christ.
