Dear Lord,
We pray for the homeless, and those who depend on the charity of others.
We pray for the local foodbanks, providing food for those in need.
We pray for all those who grow, protect and prepare our food; for the shopkeepers, the transport delivery drivers, the processors and the farmers.
We pray for those who struggle to make a living.
Help us to be mindful of the choices we make and to use our freedoms to help others to live. Amen.

Dear Lord
We pray for all who are suffering through the extremes of weather in this world, through lack of water causing crops to fail, wells to dry and lives to be weakened or lost, or violent storms causing rivers to rise and burst their banks,
damaging and destroying homes, communities and lives. Loving God, be with the despairing, the bereaved, and all whose time and effort is bringing healing, hope, compassion and relief to those who are suffering. Amen.

Creator God, forgive our moments of ingratitude,
the spiritual blindness that prevents us from appreciating the wonder that is this world, the endless cycle of nature, of life and death and rebirth. Forgive us for taking without giving reaping without sowing. Open our eyes to see our lips to praise our hands to share. May our feet tread lightly on the path we tread and our footsteps be worthy of following for they lead to you. Amen.
