The Malvern Link Rainbows recently filled Bug Hotels to put in the churchyard at Holy Trinity Church, Malvern. The Bug Hotels were made at the 'Men's Shed' (women are also welcome) which meets near the church.
Licensed Lay Minister, Eileen Tomlin said: "The Rainbows had a wonderful time creating the Bug Hotels with pine-cones, twigs and leaves, and altogether they made very desirable residences for the churchyard bugs.
This is part of the Holy Trinity Church's efforts to be an Eco-church - we have no schools in the parish so have been inviting the Rainbows to help. So far, we've had a Birdwatch, planted native species and now made Bug Hotels.
The Eco-group is also inviting other members of the community, such as the Men's Shed, to be involved in the Eco-project and to take an interest in the environment where they meet.
Several of the Rainbows were keen to go home and make their own Bug Hotel in their garden!"
