We are so proud and pleased to announce that our wonderful sister and Lay Minister at St Chad's & St Mark's Deborah Alero King has been elected to the General Synod, the Church of England's parliament as a diocesan lay representative.

Deborah says 'I am humbled by the trust placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to serve the wider Church. I remain committed to helping build a Church that reflects the inclusive love of Christ, where everyone is welcomed, valued, and empowered to belong
I look forward to representing the voices of diverse communities and championing my key priorities of inclusion and anti-racism, safeguarding, and vibrant intercultural mission and worship. Together, I hope to contribute positively to shaping a Church that faithfully serves all God's people.
