St Mark's Church

St Mark's Church St Mark's Church is part of the Parish of St Peter Woking. We serve the community of Westfield and meet for worship every Sunday at 11am.

We are a small C of E church of about 40 people. Our Parish Vicar is Jonathan Thomas and our warden is Peter Clifford. We are 1 on 3 churches in St Peters Parish. We have a service on Sundays at 11am, they last just over an hour and there are refreshments after. We worship, study the bible and pray. We have children's groups that go out during the service to do more child friendly activities. Our

services can range from very traditional to more modern and lively depending on which Sunday you come to. All our welcome so feel free to pop along! Other than our sunday morning services we also have other things going on in the church during the week:

TOTS is a Parent and Toddler group which meets at St Mark’s at 10am every Tuesday morning during term time. Women's fellowship at 2:30pm on Tuesdays is a time for the women of the church to get together for bible study or to listen to visiting speakers. Men's group is the same but for the men of the church. This takes place fortnightly on Monday evenings at 8pm at one of the Men's house and usually involves some yummy nibbles. We have a fortnightly home group that everyone is invited to on Mondays at 7:30 (allowing half hour for puddings and coffee before getting stuck into the bible) in the upper rooms of the church. L8 is a group for secondary school age that happens monthly for fun, games, bible teaching, and of course the legendary tuck shop! Y3 is a more chilled out group for teenagers from year 10 to the end of college, the drink tea, eat biscuits, have general chit chat, and of course do some God stuff.

The children and youth had so much fun, especially in the car! Thank you PCSO Rob for coming along to Refresh Cafe and Refresh Extra - you are always welcome to come back for a milkshake and more games!

A big thankyou to Rev Lucy Bush, Rev Jonathan Thomas and all the volunteers from St Marks Church, Westfield who made PCSO Rob Freeman welcome when he popped along to the church to meet the young people at the weekly Refresh and Refresh Extra events this afternoon, Tuesday 14 October 2025 from 15:00.

Both of these events are aimed at young people in the area to give them somewhere to drop into after school (usually parents and primary school students at Refresh and then older students from the local secondary schools at Refresh Extra).

Rob spent time chatting to the kids and parents about the role of the PCSO, joined in with a few games (losing at both Connect-4 and table tennis) and showed them around the marked police car he had with him so they could get some photos.

Having our officers pop into these kinds of events is a valuable way for them to build connections and trust in the community and if you have an event such as this and feel having an officer drop in would benefit then please do reach out to us via [email protected]
