On this day 180 years ago, the first SVP Conference in England held its first meeting.

Now there are over 1000 conferences in England and Wales - including us here in Woking!

The St Vincent de Paul Society England and Wales was formed in 1844, eleven years after the Society was founded by students in Paris.
