🔔 Have You Ever Thought About Trying Bellringing? 🔔

Bellringing is a fun and rewarding activity that welcomes people of all ages (from around 12 to 90), individuals, couples, families, and people of all faiths or none.

Why give it a try?

🔔 Enjoyable and satisfying – learn new skills and celebrate new achievements

🔔 A gentle workout – combining physical exercise with mental stimulation

🔔 Make friends and become part of a team and community

🔔 Develop teamwork, coordination, and concentration skills

🔔 A traditional skill that also embraces modern technology

🔔 Contribute to the soundscape of our community for services, weddings, and special occasions

🤘 It's the ultimate Heavy Metal! Church bells are among the loudest and heaviest musical instruments in the world.

If you'd like to find out more and have a go, Ann Birch is holding bellringing taster sessions at St Andrew's Church, Wiveliscombe:

📅 Saturday 30th May at 10.00am

📅 Thursday 4th June at 7.00pm

📧 Please contact Ann for more information or to book a place:
[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

📢 A quick note for local residents: there will be bellringing practice on Thursday evening as part of these activities. The ringing will not be continuous and should not be overly noisy, but as we've had comments about evening ringing in the past, we wanted to give notice of this. Thank you for your understanding and support. 🔔😊

🌿 Benefice Service ... Sunday 31st May🌿

Just a reminder that our Benefice Service will be taking place this Sunday, 31st May, at Raddington Church at 10:00am. We look forward to worshipping together and welcoming everyone.

🚗 Parking Information:

Plenty of parking is available at the bottom side of the church at Rectory Farm, followed by a short walk up the hill to the church.

Alternatively, parking is available alongside the road on Hill Lane at the top side of the church, with a walk down across the field. Please be aware there are cows in the field, and kindly ensure the gate is kept shut at all times.

Overflow parking is also available in the field if required. If you choose to park there, please do so at your own risk. Our thanks to farmer Jonny Heywood for kindly allowing use of the field if needed.

We hope to see you there! ⛪

Another wonderful opportunity running alongside Wivey Cares Secret Gardens and Arts & Crafts Fair is a guided walk around St Andrew's churchyard.

There is a lot of hidden history within St Andrew’s Churchyard… Historical secrets from beyond the grave to today’s re-wilding efforts, there’s a lot more to the churchyard that meets the eye!

Bob Croft will be leading a guided tour at 3PM on Saturday 6th June… Entry is free with your passport, or donations without.

Meet at the church gates for 3PM, donations welcome.

Visitors are also welcome to explore the St Andrews Allotments on Sunday 7th 2-4PM.
