We currently have no broadband at church which also means that our phone line is not working.

If you are waiting for a reply to an email or wondering why we are not answering the phone, it is because of this!

Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

🕯️ Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight is coming to Witham! 🎻✨

We are delighted to be welcoming Lumos Experiences back to Witham United Reformed Church on Friday 30 October for a beautiful candlelit tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

When Lumos joined us earlier this year for their Hans Zimmer Candlelight Experience, our Sanctuary was transformed by candlelight and live music – it really did look wonderful. We know that some people weren't quite sure whether the event was genuine because we hadn't advertised it ourselves, so this time we wanted to say a very definite YES – it's happening here, and we're really looking forward to welcoming Lumos and their guests back! 🕯️

A live string trio will perform Fleetwood Mac favourites including Dreams, The Chain, Landslide, Everywhere, Little Lies and Go Your Own Way.

📅 Friday 30 October
📍 Witham United Reformed Church, Newland Street
🎻 Fleetwood Mac classical tribute performed by a live string trio
🕖 Two performances: 7–8pm and 9–10pm
👥 Ages 8+

🎟️ Tickets are sold directly by Lumos Experiences:
https://www.lumos-experiences.com/event/a-fleetwood-mac-candlelight-experience-in-witham-friday-30th-october/

And if you love seeing our church glowing by candlelight… keep an eye out for our Christmas services too. 🎄🕯️ There is something very special about the Sanctuary filled with candlelight, Christmas music and carols, and everyone is very welcome.

We look forward to seeing Newland Street – and our Sanctuary – glowing again this October! ✨

Lumos brings you enchanting concert experiences paying homage to world famous artists. We’ve partnered with spectacular locations & churches across the UK to deliver a concert experience that is nothing short of magical ✨🌍A donation is made to a different charity each month!Key Information : ...

💦 What a Sunday! 💙

What an incredibly joyful service we shared on Sunday, as a group of adults and young people chose to be baptised and went through the water!

There was so much joy, celebration and encouragement as we gathered around them and heard them say, in their own way, “I have decided.”

A huge thank you too to Personalise for pulling off a very last-minute rush job on our baptism T-shirts — they looked fantastic and helped make a very special day even more memorable. 🤍

Perhaps looking at this photo, you wonder why?

Why would someone choose to be baptised as an adult?
What makes someone decide to follow Jesus?
What actually is Christian faith — and could there be something in it for me?

If you would like space to ask the big questions, then Alpha could be for you - it starts this week at Witham URC. It’s completely free, relaxed and made for questions. You don't need to be a Christian, know anything about church, or have it all figured out. Alpha is simply a space to explore faith, hear different ideas and talk about some of life's big questions.

Curious is enough. ❤️

If you'd like to know more about Alpha or coming along, send us a message — we'd love to hear from you. https://www.withamurc.org.uk/alpha/

And again, thank you

You might have noticed we've changed our SmallTalk page here on Facebook! 😃

Moving forward, we have decided to create one page to combine all the work we do with families, children and youth here at Witham URC.

You will now be able to see what goes on at church for families, and what we do during the week.

We will update you and of course provide all the links for BigTalk and Messy Church as usual.
