On behalf of the President and officers Of Wishaw Murray Branch Club, I would like to wish our members, Governor, William Walker and General Committee, Chairman, Bro John Carmichael and Scottish Amalgamated Committee, President, Bro Gordon McMorris, officers and members of Murray Parent Club, the members of the County Flute Band all of those who have supported our Branch Club since we were formed on 19th June 2010, a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

On Sunday, 29th December 2024, along with several members of my family we participated in the last service of worship in Cambusnethan Old Parish Church. The first service held in the church sanctuary took place 173 years ago.

The President of our Branch Club, Bro Murray Douglas Dunbar also joined the congregation.

Over 400 parishioners attended this historic service. They were all welcomed by the Rev Rob Jones who welcomed everyone to the service before leading the congregation in praise, prayer and scripture, ending in a medley of our favourite hymns.

On behalf of our President, Bro Murray, Douglas Dunbar and officers of Wishaw Murray Branch Club, Apprentice Boys of Derry I would like to wish all of our members and their families, the County Flute Band and to all those who have supported our Branch Club since it was established on 19th June 2010 we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.

I would also like to extend these good wishes to Bro John Carmichael, Chairman, officers and members of the Scottish Amalgamated Committee, President, Bro Gordon McMorris, officers and members of Murray Parent Club and to our newly elected Governor, Bro William Walker and the officers and members of the General Committee.

The Annual General Meeting of Wishaw Murray Branch Club will take place this Saturday, 28th September 2024 in Wishaw District Orange Hall at 11 00 am prompt. The election and installation of officers for the ensuing twelve months will be conducted by Motherwell Walker Club and it goes without saying that a large number of members is requested.

Good news. While I visited Bro Walter Hadden at University Hospital Hospital Wishaw I had the pleasure of running him home as he was discharged during my visit.
