Public Worship resumes in the Church from this Sunday 2nd October, and then each Sunday at 10.30 a.m.
Since the flood we have not been worshipping in church. We still cannot use our halls downstairs, and work to repair them begins in two weeks time.
But you are welcome to worship with us on a Sunday morning in the church sanctuary.
Last Sunday we welcomed our new minister, Revd Clare S Davison, to lead worship in a member's home. Clare is based in Peterborough and has a wide area to cover. Clare will lead worship in Wisbech next at the end of November (Advent Sunday)

Induction of Revd Clare S Davison

Castle Square is joining the South Lincolnshire Resource Area, a grouping of URC Churches. The new minister to the grouping is Revd Clare Davison. Clare's welcome and induction will take place at St Andrew's URC, Peterborough, on Sunday 11th September at 3 pm.
(There will be no URC service in Wisbech on that Sunday, 11th September)

The basement of the church was flooded on August 16th after the torrential rain that hit Wisbech. A side window was broken by the force of the water rushing down Castle Mews, and several rooms flooded.
This means the lower rooms are out of use for some time.
For the moment worship will continue on Sundays at 10.30 am in the home of the Church Secretary. (Use church email for more detail)

The first two ministers of Castle Square are among those buried in Wisbech General Cemetery. In spring is a great time to visit the cemetery - the snowdrops have been prolific and the daffodils are just coming to their best. Do have a look for yourself. Or the Friends of the Cemetery have a guided walk on Sunday 13th March at 2 p.m.
