A good afternoon had at Wisbech Corps this afternoon celebrating Harvest, we all joined in songs, prayer and some great activities including candle making and sand art designed to make us reflect on the good work the Lord is doing then ended our worship with fish finger sandwiches, Pumpkin vegetable bao buns, cakes and churros 🙏

Some of you may have seen we are on the edge of a no go zone until 7th August, this will not effect the services we provide to the community. It is advised that you enter from the path on West Street or from Elm Road. This is news to us as it is to you and we do not want to put our service users at risk, we will keep you updated on the situation.

Following concerns about drug use and criminal damage, our Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have closed an area of Wisbech.

The closure order, which covers the area pictured in the map below, prohibits access to everyone at all times, with the exception of those who live there, their visitors, emergency services, any employee of Clarion Housing Association, and any employee of Fenland District Council until 7 August.

Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment of up to three months, a fine, or both.

A good turn out at our Armed Forces Family and Friends drop in, and plenty of talk on ways to move forward including a mention of a mini Olympics, short mat bowls and carpet curling 😱😱 funny the chats that get brought up over coffee and cake.

Happy Christmas from everyone at The Wisbech Salvation Army.

Yesterday saw the last of the Christmas parcels collected and took our total to 179 families supported during Christmas, where they are provided with the ingredients for a Christmas dinner and gifts which otherwise they would not be able to celebrate Christmas.

We would like to thank everyone who has been so generous this year in donating food and toys without the donations this could not happen and it’s great to see that as a community we still care about others and help out those in need.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at the Wisbech Salvation Army and we will see you again in 2025.
