The Wellbeing Gardening Group will run for 8 weeks on Wednesday afternoons from Wednesday 13th May-Wednesday 1st July, from 2.30 - 4 pm, meeting in the Kerith Hub garden, corner of Ruddlesway and Dedworth Road, Windsor.
This group is for anyone who is stressed or anxious, or facing mild to moderate mental health challenges, a chance to enjoy the benefits that being in nature and gardening can bring.
It is scientifically proven that gardening is therapeutic. Spending time outside, in nature, can enhance a sense of well-being and help develop a state of calm.
This is not offering therapy sessions or counselling advice; it will not provide solutions or take away life’s challenges, but it is about giving people a chance to breathe, to be present, and to find a place where they can find purpose and community.
This is a chance to join in some gardening, to learn new skills, to share expertise, and to enjoy being in nature. Our garden is a small, new, far-from-perfect space and needs some loving care! We will dig, plant, plan, w**d, water, and grow. No expertise is needed, and all are welcome. Bring your own drinks and snacks, or use the kettle available. All gardening equipment will be provided, but come dressed in gardening-appropriate gear (it can be wet and muddy!).
