Celebrating our 10th year on Facebook, although it’s also been a sad year for St Margaret’s, when many members of our congregation have passed away or are currently suffering serious ill health. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families. Thank you for following us and thank you to Rev’d Mark Bailey for setting this up for us 10 years ago. 🙏🤗🎉

Messy Easter Saturday 2024 at St Margaret's:
The children washed their hands and washed Rev'd Rob’s feet too (not captured on camera, sadly!). As he was wearing shorts and slip-on shoes, it was easier to wash his feet than remove all the children’s tights/socks/trainers!
Another activity was making the ‘triumphal arch’ to represent the one through which Jesus rode on Palm Sunday. The children sat under it to hear Claire Bentham read this part of the story.
The c**kerels were the children’s favourite bit – from ‘before the c**k crows twice you will disown me’.
And they also got to make Easter gardens.

LARGE CRIB available, in time for your church's preparations for Christmas! Here at St Margaret's in South Wonston, we have finally got around to pulling our large crib out of the chair stall and photographing it, with a view to finding it a home with another church.
It is approximately 18 x 24" by 24" high.
(In metric dimensions, approximately 46 x 61cm by 61cm high.)

There will be a special lay-led Praise Service at 09:30 on Sunday 27th March 2022 at St Margaret's, South Wonston, for Mothering Sunday. All welcome. Please don't forget that clocks SPRING FORWARD (British Summer Time begins) on this day - don't get caught out!

A memorial service for Rev’d Bob Clarkson will be held at Saint Margaret’s church on Friday 4th March at 2pm followed by refreshments in the social area. All are welcome to attend.

It is with great sorrow that the St Margaret’s community received the news today that much-loved Rev’d Bob Clarkson had passed away at home. Gentle, scholarly and always willing to share his prodigious theological knowledge, he will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Come and join us for our Carol Service 2021 at St Margaret's Church, South Wonston, which will be held at 3pm on Sunday 12th December. We will be joined by the Dever Singers. There will be a retiring collection. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!
