Help Us Complete Ed's Vision – Can You Help Us Find One of the 40? 💚
This weekend we said goodbye to our wonderful Vicar, Revd Ed Dines. There wasn't a dry eye in the church as we thanked him for his years of leadership, encouragement and vision.
It was Ed who first imagined a warmer, more energy-efficient St Barnabas that could serve our community for generations to come. He brought together the team, championed the project from the beginning, and invited Katherine to lead our decarbonisation work.
Over the past year we've made enormous progress together. We've completed detailed energy surveys, explored heating options, secured grants, commissioned technical reports and developed a clear plan to transform our much-loved community buildings with:
☀️ Solar panels
🌱 An air source heat pump
🏡 Better insulation and draught-proofing
Now it's over to the rest of the project team to make that vision a reality.
We're now almost halfway towards our £40,000 fundraising target, which is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who has already donated.
Can you help us reach the next milestone?
Every donation up to £250 made before 22 July will be matched by Aviva, meaning:
💚 Donate £10 → it becomes £20
💚 Donate £250 → it becomes £500

Our next goal is to find another 40 people who are able to donate £250, or lots of smaller donations that together make the same difference.
It's not about persuading everyone. It's simply about making sure everyone who cares about St Barnabas Church and knows about this incredible opportunity while match funding is still available.
